As we are now embarking on the future with a new man at the helm. We all won't get the manager that we want or feel that this is the manager to take us forward.
I for one have been totally against the idea of Billy Davies, but if he is the chosen manager I will give him the chance and support him to succeed, which judging by a few of our players won't be an instant success.
If the manager is not the one you would choose are you going to be supportive and get behind him or are we going to be in the same position this time next year?
We survived last year on raising our support at the games and this is what we need to do again. As much as I disapproved of the tactics selection and team spirit yesterday. The crowd getting on the backs of players does not make them turn into Messi or Ronaldo. I don't know what happened during the first half yesterday but a section of the lower Dolman had a argument with J Wilson and Foster, we were all frustrated but at the end of the day we are supporters and in many cases this year we failed in our roles.
I know some will say if the team played better we would support them, but in fairness it's when confidence is down is when we need to be our most supportive.
Whenever my kids are losing their confidence with either their school work and work, that's when I need to be supportive of them to make them believe that no matter what I will stand by them and help where I can.
Against Petersborough we were once again vocal, there was a different atmosphere and they responded.
We all have our gripes, I supported Del but where he failed me was picking players who IMO did not want to preform and if there was a fraction in the players that did not want to be part of it, it was up to the older players Carey, Skuse and Elliott to become leaders and prevent it.
Del made bizarre team selections I tried to find reason by saying I don't see the players apart from 90 minutes, but I could see in 45 minutes yesterday Anderson has been his problem. He ran his socks of and that being 0-4 down. That is what I want to see is players who will work. Baldock and Davies are to me the best forwards we have and should of always been played. If they are carrying knocks come out like they did with Baldock in the end and say that's why he was'nt picked.
So even though I supported Del, I think he experimented too much and brought this downfall on himself. He will learn and I don't doubt that he could turn out to be a good manager in the future, his vision was there but just relied on players that didn't share it.
So who ever comes in let's get behind the man and the team and support the club we all love.

'So who ever comes in let's get behind the man and the team' - Sure we'll all give him a chance. We all gave McInnes a chance but he blew it with constant team and formation changes - I still can't get over him dropping Baldock after he scored 2 against the Posh.

However much you want (correctly) the fans to support City it won't happen if the next manager makes the same schoolboy errors.

'Against Petersborough we were once again vocal, there was a different atmosphere and they responded' -
I agree it was a good atmosphere but if Heaton had been sent off (like 90% of Referees would have) and 1-1 and 10 v 10 it might have turned ugly pretty quick.

ROD , we all wanted Del to do well, but he was his biggest enemy he really was.
I just hope SOD is appointed,he has shown at Bournmouth,Donny, and Forest he gets his teams playing football.I remember us always being quoted as a footballing side,im sure he will install that in the team.I hope he keeps us up,but i would be happy for him to take us down and get us sorted.
We know he plays good football,he is a Bristol City type manager if that makes sence.

I just hope he gets the job,i wanted him when coppell got the job,i really think he could be the making of us.

P.S I have been looking at the pool forums, they are gutted about him coming here,so we must have something going for us still.

I would like him as well prefer Di Canio, but what I was trying to say is not all of us will get the man we want.

I can only back what I feel is right for the club. If I feel something is wrong, I say it, not just sit there and say nothing, or cheer anyway.......IMO it's false and non constructive.
I admit, I didn't want Millen and I didn't want Del and after watching Dels tactics last season I had a gut feeling this season was gonna be a disaster......As you are aware, I've been calling for his head for a while now, not just sitting there happy clapping...

I will give a chance with any manager coming in, but if my gut feeling says this ain't gonna work...I will say.........This is not for the sake of it, but because I believe it ain't working for our club. we all pay our monies, we are all entitled to our opinions!!

Lets hope the board picks the right man for the job!!

Yeah, well thats how I felt about the end of Johnsons tenure and I couldn't see him gone soon enough. Who said you weren't entitled to your opinion?

Clearly you missed the press conference after the game when DM said that Sam had a knock for Blackburn and failed a fitness test before yesterdays game...

As for the new manager, it is going to be "the cheap option" (again) I am afraid as we cannot take the £1.5-2m pound a year it would take to pull top quality management (assuming they would come) out of the player budget...

    Prem -
'Clearly you missed' - that the next game after the Posh was Millwall away.
Baldock was sub and came on after 40 mins in the first half.

I was not one of those calling for GJ's head, my words were also "be careful what you wish for" when most fans wanted him out.......
I still think he was te best manager we had since AD.
There are those that think the reason why we are where we are now is down to him.............I'm not one of those either.......IMO they are Millen & Dels supporters and GJ is an excuse for their failure.

By the way, I remember last season that quite a few fans were saying the players we had were good and we just needed to tweek it a bit.....I was one of those fans......i still believe that...WITH THE RIGHT MANAGER...

I would second your thoughts regards GJ best manager since AD,I would also say the players here are as strong as we have had.We need a manager to install dicipline and organisation in the team.
I think SOD will do that.
Remember the palace and cardiff demolition the quality is here with some tweeks.

There you go with the "excuses" thing again. You don't need an "excuse" to fail, just a REASON...

    Different thing altogether...
