I have resigned to the fact that we will not get a new signing and if we do... he will not be the instant dose we need. Lets be honest. We have to make do with the players we have. Taking positives....Only Positives from our first three matches. 1) Our defense has been fairly solid. Offsides are beyond all teams so yeah. 2) All players can be said to be at the same level of development...the stars are not yet at full potential so we are not at a level where someone can feel "too big to be at Arsenal". 3) Leadership...... Thomas seems to be bossing the game. He has things in control for now. 4) Hunger. Gervinho showed some brute will to take the team forward....despite his suspension. He has some excitement to be at Arsenal and I doubt that will fade off. Frimpong also has something to prove. He is not the kind who faded into the game. I am confident with this team...yes...Ignassi...Frimpong....Campbell.....>Ramsey. They are all in one class. Parity!!!! There game play all though not yet eye-catching or of high goal count has seemed consistent so far. I think it is a break from the usual crap of winning 7-0 on day one......beating chelsea 3 goals and then loosing to Stoke city the next weekend. Look at the stats for liverpool's vs Arsenal game and notice how attempts on target are not too far apart...for a game that ended with two misjudged goals. We are playing less of the possession game now and taking our chances...even if it means shooting the goal to the crowds. Its better than the nonsense we so got used to last season....of Diaby reaching the opposition's box and turning round to back-pass to someone in our own half (idiot). We dont need focus on cups....or which stars to get....we just need to get three points everytime we play. Compare ours with the Liverpool team that won that last won the Champion's league. Risse? Biscan? Traore? Hyppia...Smicer, Josemi. Yet they did stuff we couldnt do that year with Pires, TH14, RVP, Vieira, Fantastic 4, Reyes, Bergkamp, Kolo, Ashley, Sol, Lauren etc!!!!
Big teams don't gift the opposition soft goals or get players sent off for soft bookings. It's all predictably avoidable. you cant sell all your best players and get away with it, WENGER OUT NOW.
