Fantastic start, really has been unbelievable, one that none of us predicted. But where can we go and where should we go from here?

We have 5(in my opinion) really tough games coming up. Everton, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Norwich(away). I personally would be happy with 5 points, gives us 27 from 15 games which is fantastic.

We won't finish 4th, we won't finish 5th, we are disturbing what will be the top 6, I don't think we can expect to keep up with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham or Liverpool in the long run.

Who will threaten us? I will be seriously disappointed if we don't make a decent push for Europe after this good start, but I will still be happy with top 10 as its an improvement on last year.

Stoke - Still a good team, and very hard to beat. But we did prove they are beatable, and teams going there will look at how we did it and try to mirror our performance and I can see a few teams coming away from there with points. There away record is shocking, so in the long run I can't see them being much of a threat.

Everton - They'll come good, they always do and it wouldn't surprise me if they started on Saturday. I do think they will be one of our closest rivals come the end of the season, and the final game of the season is of course...Everton away.

Villa - They are good, then ****, then good, then ****. What do people think? They usually end up there, but its different management again, they are relying on Given a lot. I think they'll occupy number 10.

The fact is, we have given ourselves such a huge point gap that we should not be finishing lower than those teams mentioned. Some surprises will enter the fray, maybe Norwich? Sunderland might come good which I expect them to. Fulham?

28 games to go, we need to keep this up, and we need to keep beating teams that will be around us, or taking points from the games.

What are people's serious gut feelings about it? Who will be our main threat?

Likely to finish 7th, but would be nice to put teams like Arsenal and Liverpool under pressure.

I think in all honesty we'll get 7 points from our next 5 games and at the end of the season we'll be 8th/9th/10th which I'll be happy with

Everton will be our main threat. I can see us finishing 7th or 6th with the already massive points lead we have. That will pay a major part later on. If we can beat them on saturday we're well in the running for 6th. I have hope for 6th place <ok>

I think we will have a great season, not saying Champions League, not even saying top 6. But, 7th is more than realistic. I think that is where we will finish tbh, especially if we add Maiga, Hoilett, Ridgewell etc. in January.

I can't see many weaknesses in our team and the team spirit is probably the best in the league. Only real thing that could get to us is long term injuries to key players - fingers crossed that won't happen!

Very confident we can finish in seventh place. As you said , when injuries and bans (+ACN) start to hit us we'll struggle to keep up with the likes of Spurs , Liverpool and Arsenal but we'll enjoy where we are at the moment nonetheless.

Stoke are **** away from home and have been shaky a few times this season , the sooner they get knocked out of the Europa League the better for them but I see they've won again today so that may be another month in it.

Everton will , in my opinion , be our biggest rivals when it comes to finishing in 7th. They normally start really slowly and start picking up form in January/February.

Don't think Villa are good enough to compete with us (hope that doesn't come back to bite me). Absolutely no depth in their squad , even less than us and rely too much on Shay Given. N'Zogbia's been a bit of a flop.

Overall I'd be pretty disappointed if we don't finish 7th or 8th as this is the best team we've had for a while. Would be delighted with top 8 finish and that would definitely give us something to build on for next season.

Will also be interesting to see if we can keep hold of our key players in January , if we can do that , and strengthen a bit then I'd be very confident of European football next season.

4 points from next 5 games is fine with me, Everton and Norwich are a draw and a win I reckon. Need to play without pressure against the other 3 as they aren't the teams we need to be beating. I think we'll finish 6th if we do reallly well (ahead of Liverpool who only raise themselves for the big games) or 7th if we do decently from here on in. Either way, I predicted us 17th before the season started, I genuinely did, so anywhere in the top 10 is a huge achievement and I will still be delighted with. On a funnier note, I predicted Sunderland to finish 7th, think I'm worse than Lawro <doh>

I think we will finish 9th-11th. Once ACON and injuries hit I think we will slowly slide down the league. Still I think we will be higher than we were last saeson which shows improvement.

We'll have a bad spell every team does but the way the team is playing as a unit i think we'll recover(won't do what the mackems did) said 9th at the start of the season and would be happy with that.
How we deal with injuries/suspensions in key places ie CB the loss of tiote/Ba for the ACoN (all be it for a few weeks) and whether we get new faces in Jan will be key.

    I think we'll finish 8th.

The usual top 6 suspects, with Everton in 7th. I can see us losing our last 2 games and getting pipped, but we still will have had a fantastic season :) <ok>

I'm not expecting a huge haul of points over the next few games, but aslong as we don't just let teams like City or Man Utd walk all over us then I'm happy.

We've got a good group of players that are doing us proud at the moment and the team spirit seems amazingly good.

Quietly confident of a good season and a top half finish, won't put the mockers on everything by stating a position I think we'll finish in but the top half wasn't expected by most of us so I'll be very happy with that for starters.

Interesting that people someone said injuries. What about bids coming in for players in January? Will MA hold off this time round, or will he just go back to normal and cash in on one or two.

I still think we could get relegated. Or get into the top 4.

That is what a life time of supporting NUFC does to you. You can't rule out ANYTHING happening!

But seriously, I think we will fade around about January time because our lack of quality beyond the first team. I'd love to be proved wrong but when injuries/suspensions kick in we'll look quite weak in defence and attack. And we normally have some form of injury crisis every season.

    Man City
    Man Utd
    Chelsea
    Spurs
    Liverpool
    Arsenal

All sides which are clearly better than us. From that point on, it's fair game.
