is anyone maybe falling out of love with the PL or maybe just getting a little ****ed off with the whole thing, this board is more negative than at almost any time under the goons.
Don't think so mate, this was always going to be an extremely tough season, and i don't think anythings changed. It's always stressful stuff supporting the Super Hoops, but certain elements of late inside the club have made it even more so.I still think we will survive this season, but things need to change inside the camp itself,Warnock needs to regain the leadership in the dressing room and Barton really needs to start showing it on the pitch.Regardless of results,i think a more upbeat set of performances in our next few games allied with a little more passion, and you'll see a few more cheerful souls on here mate.
The crap that surrounds the game is really bad with the EPL, but I am seeing better players playing better football every week, so it has to be better. We are all having a whinge at the moment because the R's have lost their way a bit over the last couple of games. If we get anything at all from the next 3 games, some on here will have us down for Europe again. QPR supporters have a sort of collective bipolar disorder, but at least it's not boring.
How exactly have the board been negative? We're paying stupid money to all the new players and Ferdinand, SWP and Traore won't have been cheap.
Welcome to the 'Premier League' my pedigree chums. I think the negativity was born out of frustration, especially after the Fulham result. ( Where did that come from? ) Prior to that we were on a high. We had performed well in our previous three games, and naturally that will breed a larger degree of expectancy. So onto BB Rovers, a struggling Prem side, surely we would show our bouncebackability.... The team will gel again, hey presto... our first home win. Yet the performance was poor, the result, seemingly secondary. Cue frustrated backlash. ( Me included, and clearly deluded. ) But if BB are a struggling side, did anyone not notice the quality of Samba, Roberts, Ohlson and Hoilett? They were fantastic, plus they had ex-England keeper Robinson, and they're struggling? It's going to be tough, were going to be disappointed. Let's just hope that come the end of the season, there will be three clubs more disappointed than us. Sometimes we can all get carried away somewhat, and i'm not saying that's a bad thing. As fickle football fans, thats what we do, we have to have that inflated dream ( We achieved that last season imo. ) but realistically fear the worst. Unless of course you are a superclub, long gone are the days where any team could win the top division. Now it's a three horse race. It just so happens that we play two of those three horses in our next three games. As my old mate on here Brixton often posts , '' There is nothing to fear, but fear itself. '' So very true. Have no fear my friends, this time last year we were playing Bristol City away ( 1-1 ) This year Chelsea at home.... Go on...Pinch yourself.
I think that refers to the NOT606 board. We all knew that it was not going to be a picnic in the EPL, even after the signings at the end of the transfer window. The negativity has come from, in my opinion, not only the lacklustre performances in the last couple of weeks, but all the BS being spouted by Warnock and Barton, and players that tweet about having played well when they didn't and being satisfied with that. There is also the obvious lack of discipline and team ethic within the group, which is shown by the amount of dirty linen being washed in public. If Warnock thinks that it was right to slate Traore so publically and Barton thinks that its a great idea to slag off Taraabt in public (inbetween slagging off the England teams in both Football and Rugby and the publcity stunt of selling his watches) then we have very big problems. There are some very difficult games coming up and I fear that if results go badly then team harmony will be completely shattered. Barton will be in the press and tweeting, slagging everyone off ... except himself, Warnock will spout even more BS starting every sentence with the disingenuous phrase "If I'm honest" ... instead of every other sentence as he does at the moment. (As soon as someone says that we know that they are lying as they are trying to reinforce a point before it has even been made - a conscious decision to deceive.) Expect more of the same as I'm afraid that this lot seem too thick to understand. PROVE ME WRONG.
I think there's a bit of confusion as to how we were so good at wolves and then dire at blackburn. That's QPR
Brilliant post I agree my only input would be ... QPR my/ our team keeps me going ... I have a great life but it's still my special thing that keeps me ticking over in the ups and downs ... Having watched and felt the rise/growth of what we are now I have myself suddenly been shocked by how the team spirit has been drained by a host of different events and inputs. I have never felt comfortable with Barton whatever club he was at as his own journey in life has seemed to effect others around him ... More so than the actual fact that he is a footballer ... He seems to be more than that in his own mind ... He believes he is a leader ... Those qualities in my opinion is something on the pitch he does not have ... He has passion but hasn't found how to control or harness that power of responsibility . Things change and of course it how we adapt is the key. So far killing morale off the pitch to me has affected firstly the way we play and of course what we as a fan base think of that . On the upside if there were no posts nowhere to air your views there would be no passion .... I don't think that's the case on here
the only thing that pisse's me off is the kick off times & changing over to sunday & monday it just f###s everthing up, baring that love everything about the prem & your more in the spotlight & in papers but thats not always a good thing.
No bushy, the Prem is where it's at, it's why we've got fantastic new owners. I'm NOWHERE near as negative as when the 'goons' as you call them were in charge. Keep the faith in Warnock.
NW knows we are work in progress. new players in take time to gel. NW also wants new players in come Jan. as long as we finish 17th........I will be happy.
Being negative is being part of qpr lets face it most of the last 15 to 20 years have been mostly negative. However as i have posted previously maybe some of our expectations were too high especially after the wolves result, what we have had now is a reality check, we have to get on with it. We need NW to get the team playing the same way as they did against Newcastle, wolves and villa and the confidence will return. If they have a real go against chelsea and play to full potential i feel we can get something from the game but if they sit back and allow chelsea to dominate we will get hammered. Come on lads have a real go, it we still lose so what if the performance is good we can accept it, its only when they don't perform that we the fans start to grumble.
Loveitup, I feel I know where you are coming from and yes there does seem to be an inordinate amount of negativity on these boards given that we that we have only played 8 games and have achieved 9 pts (could/should have been more you can argue) personally I think itâs what we deserve. TBH the negativity has stopped me commenting on many posts as lots of them go around in a negative downward spiral and I just don't want to part of those posts, for me it doesn't feel healthy. I even got shot down the other day for jokingly suggesting the we use the nickname " Kneejerkers" and yes Eamon I did got the point but unfortunately I can't get to every game but do watch them all live on the internet which cannot actually replace being LR but doesn't stop me passionately screaming at the screen in hope that one day you might hear me; I must admit your post surprised me a little as I find the vast majority of your posts humorous and an enjoyable read. Having said that there some great have been posts on here today especially 999 & DT, great reaction Col. As for what I really think to what is going on, personally I don't find players/manager saying that they were satisfied with the performance offensive, what are they supposed to say? It is important to keep these outwards views upbeat as the majority of the fans what to hear these positives and NW is never going to change now even after Fulham he was mainly talking about the positive reaction from the fans and that JM returned and fobbed they game off as one of those things. Do you really think that he took that attitude back to the training ground? None of us really knows whatâs going on behind the scenes with the exception of Ric Roc, oh and Cerny who is deluded into thinking that his crystal ball tells him inside info. Like it or not we live a social media world where everyone including ourselves sits up and listen not that different from when I was child and everything stopped for the 6, 9 or 10 oâ clock news, just a lot faster, only difference is we could not really respond. Anyway I prefer to focus on the positives not forgetting that we have a long, long way to go before we can really call ourselves a proper premiership squad and I can live with that.
I can take being bottom of the pile. I can take bad results (if the effort appears to be there). I could even take relegation (I'd hate it, but **** happens). What galls me is the attitude of some players after what I witnessed this last Saturday. I really do think that we will have big problems if NW doesn't get a grip of all this extra "stuff" that is going on. My posts are often meant to lighten the mood, but the last couple of weeks (and strange as it may seem I don't include the Fulham result) have annoyed me.
I think all the above are fair and reasonable. You are missing the point of promotion and the underlying desperation to maintain our PL status - no Claridge - makes every weekend special.
To be honest Eamon I feel the same. Since the Wigan game (Toon & Newcastle apart) I have been very unhappy generally with the demeanour of the players and NW's perma-smile
