I'm as gutted as anyone we havn't taken at least some points off the Manchester clubs but thinking about it in perspective both of these clubs averaged 2.34 points per game last season. Man City at home went unbeaten and we pushed them as far as anyone. Man United have done this to teams almost on a regular basis. They have the experience and management to make such an impact as they did today. Wigan was a blip, and a reality check...Nigel and all the players realised this and will be improving every game with this in mind. The negatives are there sure but it could have been so much different...in both Manchester games and the home game. Luck will (hopefully!) even out and we'll be just fine. Stay positive and be realistic in the fact we we're never expected to take anything from either on the Manchester games. Look at the odds as a reference point. 14-1 to win away at City, 4-1 to win at home to United. Puts it in perspective and the reality of things and how they could have been oh so different. Onwards and upwards, after international break we'll have Yoshida and Ramirez fully introduced to SFC, the players, role and ethics of the clubs. Along with Mayuka becoming more aware and we'll only go from strength to strength. Now to the knobheads texting in crap to solent - throw your phones down the toilet and flush. COYS
Well said III. Over the last 10 games of the premiership last season Wigan were top of the form table. When we got relegated 7 years ago they were promoted and we will certainly learn from these experiences as they have.
