Let's be honest, this Tottenham side is the best they've had for a while

    Better than ours? Well, defensively...yes.

Come on, admit it. They've got a very good team. We beat them on the attacking front by miles, but I think Wenger made a mistake in not signing Scott Parker.

Still, I think Spurs will crumble around December, and we'll be 3rd ahead of Chelsea.

That is their stongest team. No injuries and in a good run of form. We just need to keep the gap to 3 points until that changes. Our next 5 games look good so we could carry on our good form.

    P.s Kaboul > Dawson.

Better than us.... I don't know.
Van der Fart and Bale are playing well.
Parker looks like a good buy too.

We might both make top four ahead of Chavski and Pool

What utter rubbish - what has happened to Arsenal fans? There has always been alot of pessimism but this is ridiculous. Spurs have not overtaken us. Yes they have had a decent start to the season but we will overtake them soon enough and we'll get a top 4 finish which they won't.

Having a string of decent games when we have had our worst start to the season in years and years does not make them the better team. We will be ahead of them in the league in no time. Not to mention us still being in the CC and also top of our CL group (the competition they are not in). It takes more than a few results for a team to overtake another as the better team... serioiusly...sort it out.

Would be a win for football at a time where money is threatening to destroy the competition

so what youre saying is that man city arent the best team in the league right now? spurs are better than arsenal right now, you'll have to accept that.

This is what I'm saying. Currently, Tottenham could probably beat Arsenal, simply because of their defence actually being organised. Once we sort that out, I'm pretty positive we're gonna climb very fast.

No i don't have to accept spurs are better than us as they aren't.

Come the end of the season we will be the ones in the top 4 and will have had a better season. Just like every other season.

Saying on current form you think they could beat us is not the same as saying the crap jayram is comming out with about how the power shift is complete yada yada yada.

Yes they have a decent team this year and yes a handful of there players would make our first team for the first time in a long time but we have the better squad and will have the better season.

Look at Chelseas bad spell last season and where they ended up.

Stop all the pessimism. Yes spurs are doing well, i wouldn't try and deny that - they have been performing well and good luck to them. But when it matters we will be ahead of them once again as we always are.

There is no power shift, they have had a better start to the season than us, but we are returning to form, have a better forward line, our defence are comming back together, we have just stuffed Chelsea and we are doing it without Wilshere, Vermaelen and Sagna.

We are top of our CL group, spurs are playing europa league. Spurs are out of the CC we are still in it. They are 2 spots above us in the Prem by 3 points with a game in hand after we have had our worst start in years and are now gelling together as a solid unit and we expect reinforcements in january.

Stop making it out like they are miles ahead of us. They are slightly ahead of us in one competition and that won't be the case soon enough.

Firstly for the power shift to be complete i recon spurs have to well and truely have a clearly better season than us.

But for me to even consider the power shift is even STARTING they'll have to finish a season for the first time in aaaaaaaaages above us.

I can't believe even Arsenal fans are joining in on the spurs loving lol - they will fall apart - guaranteed.

I have to agree with this, Spurs have had a good run so far but lets not blow it out of proportion their defence looked awful at times against QPR.When we played them i feel we were unlucky to go away without atleast 1 point. Our team at the time had no confidence and only recently introduced new players yet we dominated possession and on another day could have taken all 3 points.

The original point was this is our best squad in ages and no one can deny that - we have had some very average players in the past and a lot of money wasted! I love the derbies but I'm not into all that power shift rubbish - I am just happy we are more competitive nowadays!

Jayram, as always, you are ruining my argument.

There's no power shift, I'm saying defensively they are better than us, but attacking-wise we are better. I'm saying this is the best spurs team in years.

Then you've twisted it to power shift.

@Samurai - i agree its defo there best squad in a while.

And i agree we are better going forward.

As far as the defence i'd take King if he wasn't so injury prone and assou-Ekotto as he is consistently a good LB> however i find Santos an interesting player and an reserving judgement.

I think we have to remember we haven't had our settled top back 4 in place. So far spurs have been defensively better but i think once we have Sagna and Verm back in the line up and we get a back 5 playing consisttently we will actualy have a very good defence.

It's our style that undoes us at the back often rather than the personnel imo.

Well said. Too many are willing to talk our club down and still call themselves fans. They are glory hunters and only get behind the club when all is sunshine & roses.

If it wasn't for the VDV handball we would have drawn at WHL, maybe even won & with a much weakened team. I don't care what plasticRam and others say, we will finish above the spuds this year. Our best 11 is better than theirs and our manager is light years ahead of the tax dodger. Their optimum defence is one decent LB, an Arsenal reject, a cripple and the donkey Dawson. Their 'superstars' are Bale who scores very few & assists even less, Moderate Modric who is only passing through on his way to a decent wage packet (a la Nasri) and VDV who is as tantrum away from a heart attack.

The truth is that we are off to a bad start, which is unusual for us & they are off to a decent start which is unusual for them. Normal service will be resumed soon enough...Form is temporary, class is permanent!
