We all know Bertrand has been fab, Toby magnificent, but with Mane finding his form, but having to pop of to sunny Arica a hole was left. With a little wiggle and a magic word, big Ron pulls Elia out of his hat as another loan. Has a manager in the top flight (new to England) ever worked the loan system so well?
A tip of the hat to Les Reed for the Ryan Bertrand signing, I'd say. In fact, a tip of the hat to Les Reed - end of story.
i was gutted when Poch left , but if or when koeman goes i really will be distraught . This guy is pure class , we are so lucky to have this man as our manager . ill try to expand ( please excuse my grammer ) last season Poch was good , but it could be argued that th spine of the team was already inplace ,. But after the summer what Koeman has done is nothing short of brilliance , i do so very much hope we have the privalige of this beutiful mans presence for years to come
When Koeman goes, I wouldn't be worried, we will be prepared and another man just as suited to our system will come sauntering along.
Exactly we need to sign them all up before they all disappear in the summer and we have to consult the magic black box again.
I get that people are diverting kudos for recruitment to Reed. But you have to admit that Elia and Toby largely came here due to Koeman. They may have been part of the black box but Ronald seems vital here. In Toby's case by convincing him to come and for Elia showing faith (from what we have heard we might not have gone for him due to attitude issues)
Our purchases and loans this season have been nothing short of sensational. The secret is that not only are they good players, but more importantly they fit into our tea,. The black box has all the details about possible targets, but Koeman makes the suggestions and also acts as a lure for the players.
