Very simple, try and contain teams like Palace, Leeds and Cardiff.... and you might as well not bother turning up as we will lose... look at Peterborough, they don't have the world's greatest defence but if they have a go and score 5, they don't need to worry about it do they... By all means keep it tight at home, but for goodness sake, at least have a go and offer some sort of threat away and see if we can get something...
It's the ****ing central defence, McInnes said late December he wanted 2 defenders what is it with these bastard central defenders that never happen. But we are getting it all wrong, if we went there one up front and not the most prolific of scorers 110% workmanship but not a goal scorer, then we got what we deserved. IMO SoD got it wrong on Saturday and done it again 3 days later. You can't play defensive with the defence we have. Please Sean learn from this mistake and go out to beat teams if we tried and failed I won't mind but I can't put up with this.
Last three home games ? Last three home games under McInnes? Goals for goals against? There is an obvious improvement.
Gotta say very concerning defending with what we have, gotta criticise those formations at Cardiff and Palace. Carry on in this manner and we are down. Attack attack attack it is the only way we have a chance.
I understand your comment, maybe I'm a bit previous but compare their last 7 games each and SOD has improved it by 2 points.....Not worth the fuss...
And goals against is also an improvement, worst or close to it in the division to respectable, not to be sniffed at . Keep that up and there is a chance.
We need to have a go more of the time, but how on earth is it worse when mclueless was in charge?? We maybe losing games still but we're winning at home and playing a bit better..
I keep saying it; Four City managers have failed to alter/improve the spine of this team. All have had enough time, with the exception of SOD but he just drones on about getting the players to "buy into" his philosophy when even he must realise that they are not even good enough for League Two let alone the Championship. Fontaine, Carey and Nyatanga at the back, Elliott in midfield all remain from five years ago. none haver improved in that time. Additions in the last two years, Pearson, Kilkenny and maybe now Kelly have hardly been any better. Up front we had five strikers in November and now we have one and a half; sold Pitman, Taylor injured long term, Davies scores goals but can't do it 90 minutes every match and Stead works hard but gets a poor return of goals. Is Baldock injured or does he just not want to play for us? I know SOD will not do it but apart from Moloney, Cunningham, Adomah and Anderson, I'd play the under 21's to get some hard learned experience before we kick off in League One next August. My three for relegation are now City, Wolves and Huddersfield. I get more convinced week by week that Peterboro and Barnsley will scrap their way out of trouble,
We can blame all the managers we want but in reality the problem lies deep within the confines of Ashton Gate where the top brass have been burying their collective heads in the sand for way too long and now look where we're going. Looking back a few years I really do believe that Steve Coppell saw a broken and disorganised team that was destined for failure and decided to give us a pass. Everyone thought that was a great appointment but as usual the decisions made came back to kick us in the teeth and from then on we have been in freefall without ever having the problems addressed. Poor decisions lead to poor results and our future based on the lack of attention from the heads of BCFC have finally brought us to the brink of relegation and probably beyond.
Really not impressed with him so far, Yes better than McInnes but we haven't one a ****ing away game in 4 yet! and even more scary our player hasn't scored an away goal yet. 2 Words DREADING BARNLSEY
Smoke a bit of green get yerself straight. Totally the opposite so far impressed. Coaxed a bit of responsibility out of them, even got a win against Forest and the team looks much harder to beat. Some seem to expect miracles. Looking forward to Barnsley. Sip on.
Him is O'Driscoll I assume. Neither am I, in fact I'm tremendously underwhelmed by him. "Better than Mcinnes" - IS HE? In what way? More organised? Yet we still give away goals with schoolboy defending.
