as one who didnt go down yesterday, but did however, get part of the way down for the first fixture, it is obviously easy to say: yes i am pissed off by recent events although i also remember adam pearson saying at the beginning of the season that he would be happy with 10th this year, with a view to a more positive result next season 'when' we are once again operating solvently (is that such a word, but you know what i mean). a financial liquidity statement for the summer is of greater interest to me. are we still on track to be in a position to build in the summer? i guess the public noise will be yes, cos they want the advanced income from season pass sales, but how realistic is this in truth?

We shall do our best. All the best for the rest of the season and You guys fully deserved the win and Pompey fans are a credit to your club. Wish we had that passion up here. As for letting off steam ? My party went to the KFC after the game and had a wazz, got some food and washed it all down with a nice cup of steaming hot tea. Felt much better as we headed for home.

Unless Barmby changes this ridiculous Barcelona system then I can actually see us finishing lower than we did last season, maybe 12th or 14th.

In all honesty I'm hoping we beat Coventry on Saturday for Pompey's sake more than our own.

I hate the must-win game cliche in football but if we don't beat Cov then I think thats it for us this season, and time to start planning for the next.

I spoke to someone called Henry on the phone at work today.

He worked for a well known, large organisation.

His attitude, frankly, was atrocious. So unhelpful, and so rude. But one must of course remain professional in such circumstances, even if it is ruining your afternoon and even if you feel compelled to say "err, Henners, I think you can drop that 'tude right now". Followed by profanities.

So thanks for creating a space where I can let off steam. I needed it today, thanks to 'Henry'.

WTF, Rangers v Celtic only fking Celtic scored. The tactics are inept, Barmby has a problem with anyone over 5'4'', I thinks it's called little man syndrome!! FFS get Oli in the team, play 442 for a ****ing change you stubborn little Cnut !

I'm not renewing 3 season tickets, there'll be loads of spare fking seats next season, who wants to watch a team who can't score fking goals??? Oh and where the fuk is Adam fukking Pearson when you need him eh!

What did he say when he appointed Nigel? We've got a 'proper' manager!! FFS we need one if we're to become a decent team!!!

Thanks feel much better now, not!

I think he's talking about the Old Firm game at the weekend. Rangers were humiliating Celtic and got into a 3-0 lead, helped by Celtic being reduced to 9 men. Celtic then pulled it back to 3-2 final score.

In relation to our game Pompey were humiliating us but we couldn't even do what Celtic did and score.

why the great pompey love-in? pompey still owe a massive amount of money to every tax payer in the country (from last time) and how much currently, they have operated illegally for years and also skewed the the championship salary levels for many years when they were operating insolvent. yes they played us off the park last night, with a host of other clubs and whoever, paying the wages of the team out on the field, but i personally hope they burn in hell and are an example to every other club presently in the same situation!

They will need neither a back four or a goal keeper, the way we are (not) scoring goals this year!

Actually fellas, Michael Appleton used this comparison in his pre match interview likening Pompeys financial situation and loss of players to that suffered by Rangers he went on to say how Rangers wanted the result more than Celtic. If Barmby had done his job he should have seen this coming.

I want Pompey to stay up for the sake of their fans, not for the sake of the ****s in charge.

On the flip-side, I could always hope that they do go down, fall apart, and that their fans come and support us. That way the sound of that pin dropping every home game might be drowned out.
