Lesstalk in Paris looked like a smart prospect last season but she had not quite delivered on her reputation. It is always sad when we lose a quality performer, plus there is no prospect of me recouping my losses. I wonder who was looking to buy her. She was second in the Coronation Stakes because the race was run like a French race – no early pace, a sprint in the straight. I am sure that she would have picked up some decent prizes back home racing against her own sex but now we will never know.
