and I'm getting twitchy! I look forward to these games for weeks/months but as we get closer I end up dreading it. Is that just me?

Immediately after a match (even after the Blackpool fiasco) I'm quietly confident, then my level of concern slowly rises until just before kick off when I become convinced we are playing Real Madrid. I'm looking forward to the summer break so my heart rate can return to normal (as long as we are safely promoted)...then I will start to get bored and want it to start all over again. It's called masochism.

Absolutely cannot wait for this! My whole week is gearing up to Saturday at 1! I am confident for Saturday and this will decrease progressively until just before kick off when I always realise that we actually have to beat the other team rather than be gifted three points for just turning up! I am not considering defeat this weekend however!

I too am excited - only because I think we'll win, and it will be a proper battle. I managed to watch 30 minutes of the Blackpool match before turning off realizing we weren't going to be very good, and the Tangerines pace was going to prove too strong..I'm looking forward to a completely different scenario this weekend!

Appleton just been on Sky saying that he wouldn't have taken the Portsmouth job if he'd known about their financial plight as he had a secure job, though he's committed now. Probably will be by the time this season is finished. <laugh>

It amazes me how manager's take jobs not really knowing what they're getting into..It's good to take on a challenge but not knowing what the accounts are like is terrible! Mind you a pay rise is always nice!

The best feeling is knowing that you have tickets safely tucked away. The worst is the recurring daydream of walking towards the stadium and realising that you have left them at home. I was really proud of the team last time, despite being beaten by some quality premier league finishing on the day. Saturday I hope to be proud of the scoreline too. Score early, score often keep a clean sheet. Have a happy Easter!

Good question Saint Ford, I'm wondering where is best to go after. I know that a lot of the pubs closed for a few hours after the game the last time Pompey came to town.
