According to a report from last nights fan forum SLF has turned down the approach from the FA to be their technical director. He has still work to do here. For me that is great news! I expect for others it isn't. But anyway, it is more stability at a time we are moving in the right direction Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
There’s a job to be finished here - and he still has a point to prove regarding his position. Too many jump ship at the next best offer and focus on the money only. So credit to him there.
I agree with Beth: stability is good and we may be moving in the right direction. Les has his critics - who hasn't in football - but the QPR "project" (to use that horrible word) is still very much a work in progress and it would have been both disappointing and illuminating had he chosen to jump ship now.
I speak as someone from afar because l know little what he actually does ...........but if he says he still has work to do, as an ex QPR man, that has to be a positive. Hope he can help achieve something great for us.
This....... Les & Hoos are probably the 2 most important players at the club right now, everything else that happens stems from their decisions.........we are fortunate to have them.....
The circumstances have been about as difficult as they come at a football club but nonetheless it's pretty clear that Ferdinand has made some mistakes. But the job he has requires a skill set that you just can't train for and is very specific to a particular club. So having learned many lessons the hard way and having gained a very deep understanding of the club's circumstances and goals it would be madness to let him go now.
And it appears that it is not a case of us letting him go.. He chooses to stay...great credit to him Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
For me, it news indeed. However Sir Les has hinted for the first thing that he could be interested in a future job in management. It is good to have aspirations and ambitions!
