Well that was an experience to be sure. What a great movie and can be recommended to everybody, especially Stokies, to whom it is most relevant. If you don't know the story, it was written by a Frenchman called Hugo Wenger and is loosely based on a manhunt for a man suspected of murder, murdering the game of football. The title in full, Les Miserable Bastards refers to the many mutinous Stoke fans who believe in the beautiful game and are revolting, I mean staging a revolution against le hoofball, whilst sitting in the sub arctic conditions in Paris, magically transformed to Trentham. 3G CGI has transformed the Eiffel Tower to the Britannia Stadium for the heart rending finale and show stopping song, which our hero Javier Pulisio sings to an empty stadium, I dreamed a dream of a 3 year plan, then the movie slowly fades out to the sound of much sobbing from abused and discarded heroines; Mesdames Tuncay, Kitson and little Leona Lawrence. Mark Kermode hails the movie as a 3 box of Kleenex job - Is this a reference to PHWS's I wonder, as frequently mentioned on the revolutionary website La Oatcake. Au Revoir Mon Ami's
