Rumours coming in that we've put a bid in for the Everton star

3.5 mill allegedly (we're desperate to get rid of this 3.5mill)

    Cheeky as ****?

Well, I suppose with Ruddy, then Vaughan and now Osman, it all adds credibility to the 'Lambert to Everton' campaign at some stage in the future.

Derisory offer, if true, for one of their best players. No chance.

Really? I'd bite your hand off for that! Would be a great signing.

Most Everton fans seem to think that fee is a decent offer and wouldn't mind seeing him go for that much. 30 this year however.

    Where did this rumour start?
Also heard a rumour that we might be interested in cuducinni (sp?) from spurs, especially as now Friedl has signed for spurs.
Can't see it myself really, but wouldn't say no if it came off.

I would rather see us buy some defenders, it's the area that needs strengthening the most.

Forget defenders, how boring would this season have been if we could defend well?

Got to say, I'm a bit surprised we've not been more strongly linked with a defender or two.
Osman is the sort of player who really could make a difference, though. Sadly, I'm with Cromer, I really can't see it. Everton will almost certainly look to bring in new blood, and that could well see him leave, but he'd probably fancy a higher placed side than us, and that's before we come to money.

Would love to think it'll happen, though.

We're not up against the likes of Jason Scotland this time, we're up against some top standard forwards. Defence was our weakest area last season.

Definitely can't see it happening unfortunately. Would be brilliant though!

We're going front to back sir. Defence will come soon enough.
