    This is all purely hypothetical...

He's just been released from a trial at swindon because he wasn't fit enough (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13989896.stm), but if we could get him match fit for the beginning of the season or shortly afterwards i think he'd be a great strike partner for Keds. He was touted as the next big thing at chelsea a few years ago, but because of his attitude has failed to make it properly. He says he has grown up since then though...

    What do you think?

Oh, and this is my first post so if i have done anything wrong, please don't kill me!

This is one of the more interesting bits of speculation I have heard! Well picked up on too. I rated Knight and he's scored goals everywhere he's been.
Saying that, no one really wants a trouble maker in their squad.

Got to say, i wouldnt like him at Gillingham. Has always carried around the tag of a trouble maker. I saw him on Soccer AM a few months ago as well and seemed to come across as a bit of a fool i thought, even hells bells didnt seem to be a fan! Think theyre may be a risk of him upsetting team harmony of previous clubs are anything to go by, and to much of a risk if he's already been rejected by Swindon.

Would have been fantastic to have around back in his Brighton days where he scored for fun. However since then I believe he's basically had a tour of the UK as far as clubs go, been to the Mediterranean (sp?) and Ireland before trying again here...seems to be somewhat of a journeyman now.

I suppose it would depend on if Hess/the staff could keep him in check and on the ball as it were, and if he really has matured as he clearly has talent.
Then again, we and Hess do like our players to give 100% for the club, so maybe not...

I also assume Hessy will still be getting trialists in despite all the new signings? So no real harm could be done that way?

would certainly be worth a trial i'd have thought espically given the number of friendlies we have. plus you can test his attitude by asking him to stay behind for extra fitness stuff to get match fit/sharper and if he refuses puts no effort in then let him go

Hess released Kedwell as a lad because of his attitude, he has now given him a second chance as he has matured.
Knight could come in for trials and see how it goes. "in Hess we trust"
