Lots of discussion about this in the Scunthorpe match thread and the striker on the bench thread. It's straightforward. CP has taken a punt on Clarke simply to get rid of Benson. It's taken about ten minutes for him, like us, to spot that the guy is a donkey. Hopefully that means Hayes back on Wednesday.
Delighted by this news - my only question would be that if we knew he wasn't good enough early on, why has he been stinking up the bench for the last several weeks?
