Seems perfect for the tactics Adkins seems to be trying in pre-season. Against Arsenal in the Markus Liebherr cup, we played 4-2-3-1, and he would likely be part of the 3, or he could be part of the 2 in the 4-3-2-1 we utilized against that Swiss team yesterday.
It seems unlikely we will be using the same old 4-4-2 next season as it is getting outdated, so Lens seems great, being someone who would fit in a formation where attackers such as himself play off the lone striker.

I'll bow to NA's better judgement, but do we need another striker?

If it helps us to score more than our opponents, then I'm happy with a team of 'em.

He would be our best signing of the summer so far by a mile. Quality player

No more strikers please! We are in danger of becoming like West Ham, we need keepers, centre backs and a winger

Article says he's more of a wide forward than a central striker. Lots of pace. With the new 4231 we're trying, he sounds like he'd be a useful addition.

Definitely more of a winger. A dutch article someone found says they have rejected our bid though.

Definitely an out an out attack minded player, we need quality, he looks like he fits the bill. I don't know why people are saying "we don't need another striker" this guy plays off the striker plus even if a decent goal scoring striker does come up I can see Adkins buying...my biggest shock yet is how we seem to have let a 15 goal spanish gem like Michu slip through our fingers without seemingly making an offer?

Because Michu is a central player that plays in an advanced position. We already have a player that plays there - Guly.

Lens sounds good to me and fills a hole we have. We need help at the back more I think. I hope NC and NA are working on a center back. Maybe we only need one but we certainly need help there. We have Forecast so we don't need another keeper. (Nearly fell off my chair typing that one).

Excellent player who would be a great signing....can play out wide right where we struggled last season after an inform Chaplow in that position got injured against Bristol City away.

If the rumours about Gazza are true the priority now has to be CB.
