Has left the building as his contract expires on 31 January and it isn't being renewed. Aparently Vassell is next in line to be looked at as his also expires on the same date. As things stand I can't see him being retained either.

Mixed emotions about Lennox. To be fair he has only been a bit part player with plenty of small sub appearances but little else. I quite liked him though despite him being a bit lightweight. Thought he was one who might come on and develope into a reasonable player eventually. Vassell is another who shows a bit of potential but hasn't set the world on fire. Has been injured apparently which is why he is being looked at now and not before. There are plenty of would be strikers on the books as youngsters so I can't see them keeping him. That has probably saved another £1000 per week between them off the wage bill.

John Sheridan obviously finds it difficult with fringe players not having regular games because of no reserve team games to judge their value.

Mainly a financial decision in the past not to have a reserve team......but in the long run it can backfire on you......maybe Lennox and Vassell have been short changed,Sheridan can only juge on what he sees on the training ground.

Or on the balance sheet plym which is probably nearer the truth. Bit late this season to get reserve team games unless he organises them seperately as one off friendly matches so to speak. The one thing that gets me is that Sheridan is pointing out the blindingly obvious which most people could see for themselves before. It proves to me how amateur things were before. I just hope he has time left.

Very unfair to expect fringe players.....when called upon to be up to speed and to impress......match fitness only comes from playing regular league football.

Maybe Fletcher agreed that that was necessary....but didn't have the clout to persuade Brent that it was beneficial for the team.....remember he was beholden to Brent for giving him his chance at being a manager.

Is there a sensible reserve league to play in? Unless you're playing against other Football League reseverves or at worst top tier Blue Square League, do you really learn much?

Like so much else, didn't the Premier League kill off the old Football Combination League? They probably fly their reserves out to Europe for a game now....

The South Western League or whatever it is called these days isn't that bad a standard. Local and not too expensive to do fixtures in travel wise. It has to be a whole lot better than no fixtures at all. Just having first team games is no good if only a maximum of 14 can play at any one game when you have a squad of 30. That is less than half and 3 of those or rather 6 if you count the ones they replace only get part of a match. It is hardly the league for rotation is it and to experiment with players is not wise either. Therefore you have your regular crew and others only get in the squad on matchday if somebody is suspended or injured.

    Where have you been notdistant?

    Busy???? Whats that notdistant...

I see Vassel has had his contract extended to the end of the season so he must have impressed somewhere. Sheridan is looking to have a match with Saltash presumably for a look see at what he has in a match.

You can't be a ball-boy sensible....you haven't got a millionaire daddy who gave you a brand new Audi A1 because you passed your driving test......another spoilt brat who probably deserved a good kicking by the sound of it.....he had already said he was going to waste time if the opportunity arose.

Swansea FC must be seriously embarrassed. They should be. I'm know you can't condone a player kicking at a ball boy but my biggest question in all of this is what are the FA going to do to Swansea. They are responsible for the ball boys and he openly stated he intended to waste as much time as possible. When you see the footage it is absolutely so blatantly a fall to the ground deliberately and roll on the ball. His holding his side and looking pained is also such a put on he should have been a player on the pitch with acting like that. The pillock is an absolute cretin. Somebody somewhere is going to seriously chin him one day soon and I have to say I won't have much sympathy.

It was worse than that: if you notice the kid lets the ball roll past him when he could have picked it up and then ambles after it at slow speed before he dives on it.

This isn't the first time this has cropped up though. Which club was it who were criticised for the fact that if they were 0-1 down with 15 mins to play, a multi-ball system was operated so they could get a head of steam up looking for the equaliser? If they were 1-0 up, the ball-boys all mysteriously stopped using the multi-ball system... If anything, that's worse as it was clearly organised.

No excuse for Hazard but I can understand how annoyed he was.
