So Phil Jones as moved from Blackburn to Man U for an estimated 17 million pounds.

Phil you couldn't lend us an arm or leg for awhile, that would be enough money to buy a few players with.

Honest Phil we'd give it back when we get on our feet or at least knees....cheers.

Sounds like the voice of envy plymborn...... Many clubs would like a slice of £17m as much as we would. I find the money that changes hands in the upper reaches is 100% obscene. I thought the first £1m pound player, our own locally grown pillock who never gave a stuff for his own town Mr Francis, was obscene but it sounds like chicken feed now. Where will it all end. Actually I think we know the answer to that. Loads of clubs going belly up in the end.

Yep Francis never done a thing for this club or town, so what's happened to him now? Clubs will surely have to fold soon, these amounts are outrageous, but i feel thats just the start for the summer spending spree of these prem clubs. What happens when the likes of Arsenal or Chelsea don't get in the champs league?

Not so much envy sensiblegreeny, just open mouthed amazement that Jones still green behind the gills in Premier experience has landed in wonderland.

If he makes the grade at MAN U (with Ferdinand's career ending soon) then the world is his oyster and a bonus for England, the best of luck to him,I hope he can take the pressure and be a good professional like Giggsy is.............Oh hold on a minute I think that has been blown out of the water.............I need to think........a good professional like umm........Well do the best he can anyrate...........I know have a chat with Bobby Charlton he could pass on some sound advice.
