    RIP indeed. The 1982-83 season one of my favourites; he put together a squad of all sorts including the great Bennett brothers, Hemmerman & Hatton and likes of Tong, Gibbons and others.

    Ps I could never watch this without thinking of Len

    RIP Len. A good and well respected manager. Used to buy our football team’s trophies from his shop.

    Went to dinner in the city centre once. Len was the guest speaker. He brought Clarkie with him and he stood up to chat for a few minutes too.

    A nice touch I thought.
