Who's been better this season? They both have different strengths...

Baines is a better crosser and has a better shot, however in my opinion Enrique is a much better defender, passer and dribbler. I personally think Enrique is better, I may be biased though, what do you guys think?

  2. I'm just watching the Manure vs Everton match, and the commentators are saying Valencia isn't playing well because he's playing against one of the "best left backs in the premier league", yet he did play well on Tuesday because ofcourse Enrique isn't one of the best?

Enrique may not get as many goals and assists, but he's a better alround player. His crosses are some of the best in the PL, and he's stronger, better paced and much more skillfull.

I think Baines is excellent but there's not doubt in my mind that Enrique is better, and is one of the best LB's in the PL.

Enrique, I am a bit biased but I think Baines's goals from free kicks/pens make him look better than he is. Both top class LBs though, and both could play on the wing as well IMO.

They didnt say he was the best though, just "one of the best". Also you both posted at identical times, can they be merged please AG/Leazes?

Baines is probably a much better crosser, as shown at SJP this season, attacking wise Baines is probably slightly better but defending Enrique is sreets ahead...

I'd also add that this is the kind of thing where every Newcastle fan will say Enrique and every Everton fan would say Baines.

thing is though Enrique would become the best left back in the prem to commentators if he moved clubs

  11. Enrique's crossing is orgasmic, much better than Baines.

I completely disagree. Enrique needs to be more consistent with his crossing. Baines is a quality crosser and is consistent. However defending is the main aspect of a LB, therefore making Enrique the better LB!

This. Although I'm a big fan of Baines.. even when he was at Wigan. The talent was already showing.

I thought he was class up here. However, he has one good game in about 10.

Huh? Well he's been OK. Nothing special but he's got Great Potential similar to Vuckic/Ferguson if you like.

Havent watched him for ages, he was class a couple of seasons ago, should have gotten regular football as I thought it was just a matter of time til he was an England regular when I used to see him play.

  19. I think Enrique IS consistant with his crossing and his passing. He's constantly creating chances and it's not his fault that most of the chances he creates don't get taken. Enrique has set Shola up plenty of times but Shola is a usless piece of ****, and Best has been unlucky a couple of times. I remember Best's almost goal against Spurs when it hit the under part of the bar and came back out somehow.
