Arsenal have bid big to take Isco from Real Madrid. If the rumored £25 million offer of the last week was regarded as a rejectable amount of money, especially after Zinedine Zidane's veto, now the Merengues are judging a new proposal - and a higher one: £30 million. Arsenal want the Spanish player now. Arsenal are waiting for Real Madrid's answer, but they seem to be confident, especially for the fact that the Merengues want to raise cash to invest in the assault for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. This could be one of the most interesting deals of the last days of the transfer window. I will be ready to update you... LEICESTER BID FOR LENS But I won't underestimate the struggle of Leicester City to bolster their team. Match after match they're increasing their ambitions and, being top of the league as a complete outsider, they now want to obtain, at least, qualification for the Europa League. Apart from the possible deal for Chelsea striker Loic Remy, Claudio Ranieri and his club have offered £9 million to Sunderland for their winger Jeremain Lens. The Dutch international could be just the right man for Ranieri to keep up the dream... - See more at: http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...ign=Feed-Latest+Articles#sthash.xlf9qFDi.dpuf
If Sam has a replacement lined up before the deadline my guess is that he'll let him leave. Think it might be cutting it fine though.
Think Sam will take this. If we cannot get a player in now it's a canny lumper to start the summer transfer window off with
Agreed but as Sam says " it's a calculated gamble" and IMO although Lens is undoubtedly a skilful player I'm not sure Sam rates him that much.
So was I mate. I was just thinking he might have been brought in to do a better job to free Lens. We know Sam`s not keen on him. Just a thought that was all.
I'd like to think a team with the likes of Khazri, Lens, Borini, Johnson etc. we've got enough creativity to support Defoe up top. Agreed re Sam not a big fan of Lens, just not his type of player. I reckon if we put a daft bid in for Ayew say £18m-£20m they'd accept. Sell Lens for £9m - Ayew direct replacement in terms of wages so another £9m or so on the fee.
I think if it's true then we'll sell him and rightly so. I think Sam said the other day that he has a list of sixty players on that he'd like to bid for, I'd wager that Lens out and one of his picks in would improve us. It's an interesting decision though, it's a bit of a gamble as there's a risk of selling and not having enough time to buy.
lately Lens has been playing well since having his booty kicked by Sam, just think he needs more time to settle as he undoubtedly has talent, i want him to stay
thought more lads here have seen glimpses of what Lens is capable of to give him a bit more time, he is much better than graham and a few others get the real dross out first,
If we go down its a whole new ball game and we would still need money. But I would say keeping our good players and Lens is one, might be a way of avoiding this pending calamity.
Do it now and double the money it to get Ayew in. Lens is not in the game enough and we already have Johnson for that!!!
