Just target Wes Morgan. He looks a slow and ponderous donkey. They also seem to play a high line - I hope so, good for players like Robertson/Brady and Elmohamady to exploit that space.
bruce has an interesting squad selection for sunday king chester out will figgy start or will he change formation? perhaps play elmo rb and rosenior in the back tbh i think we will stuff them seriously, seeing us today reminded me of this last season..
This could be one of the hardest games we have this season in my view. They really haven't looked that bad in the games I've seen their highlights of. I realise highlights aren't a good way to judge a team but I get the impression they are still trying really hard, had some ****ty luck and are probably due for a result. We seem to like gifting teams in their situation a boost up and if they're up for it, I can see us losing. On the other hand, if we get the first goal or two, they might suddenly realise how bad their situation is and drop their shoulders. Be an interesting game for sure.
Leicester's problems all seem to be at the back - they're not bad at all going forward. I really, really hope Figgy isn't involved for us. They have pacey players who could give him a torrid time.
Figgy played reall well at CB in the World Cup. Just shocking at LB. Did he play for Wigan? i.e. is he match fit.
Think he's been on the bench most of this month, so no probably not match fit. I quite liked him except that he always seemed to have at least 1 massive mistake per game in him.
That is what I would go for, I just wonder whether they will keep the same mid field, or bring Livermore in. I feel he will stay with the same as yesterday with Livermore on the bench.
Assuming Mahrez plays, this might be a good game for Rosey to play LB. Mahrez is a leftie playing wide right.
This. Mahrez is a tricky little bastard and we'll need someone who'll have both great defensive capabilities AND a decent bit of pace.
Anyone who dives to get a team relegated like he did to Doncaster is a ****. (cue AKCJ coming to defend him again)
I only saw the highlights but they seemed to play well against Spurs. We are regularly generous to teamss in their position. We'll need a big performance to beat them.
Has to be tbhe same team for me against Leicester with the obvious change of Livermore back in(after suspension) for Chester who now serves a one game ban for collecting his 5th yellow card @ sunderland. At least we get Chester back for the harder game @ home to Everton on NYD. Alex Bruce drops back into the defence. The rest deserve to start again and hopefully Robertson will be fit enough to make the bench.
This game is massive. Beat them and we're 9 points ahead of them with a few winnable fixtures ahead, although a draw wouldn't be a disaster and I think it's the most likely result. We need to keep Mahrez quiet, he's their main creative outlet and I reckon Cambiasso will come back in, so we need our midfield to stand up and be counted otherwise he'll just play right through us. Their back 4 are pretty slow, the two CB's Morgan and Wasilewski are painfully slow but are decent from set pieces, so I wouldn't expect much from corners, free kicks and the like. Hernandez might actually enjoy this one if he can get into his stride, but I think he'll go with Aluko for the sheer pace. -----------McGregor---------- Rosenior----Davies----Bruce-----A-Bob Elmo -------Ramirez -----Livermore---Brady --------------------Aluko------------- ---------------------------Hernandez
At the risk of repeating myself ad infinitum, SB will not play Ramirez as one of two CMs in a 4-4-2 (or 4-4-1-1). It's just not going to happen.
Quinn will start. Unless someone else gets injured in training dont expect many unforst changes if any.
Jamie Vardy is suspended. If we play like we did yesterday we have a very good chance off getting something Riyad Mahrez and Jeff Schlupp destroyed Danny Rose and Kyle Walker yesterday so lets hope they carry on that form. Esteban Cambiasso was rested yesterday so he will be back tomorrow Give Leonardo Ulloa a chance and he will stick it away apart from that our goal threat is almost no existent. Ulloa has 8 and our next top scorer is Schlupp and Cambiasso on 2
It's hilarious how you refer to your players using their full names the way brown-nosed commentators refer to Chris-ti-an-o Ron-al-do while calling other players by their surname. Do you think it makes your players sound more impressive or should we judge them more on their performances/ results this season?
