After being robbed by catastrophic refereeing in our last 2 games we now meet Leicester, who along with Arsenal and Chelsea have no other goal than to humiliate a better team. Our vast improvement under the guidance of Mr. Hughes should see us get the first 3 points of the 12 we need to survive and be the basis for next years season.

Of course it’s vital that the team has the full support of it’s supporters in this most vital of matches. The response to the desperately unlucky defeat to Chelsea will be paramount. Our undying, never say die spirit has already been shown by the uplifting words of so many:

SaintMagic: Well Chelsea upped it and we couldn’t cope, what a surprise

TomW24: No backbone. No fight. Pathetic bunch of prima donnas.

    Saintsforthewin: disgrace

Beef: Crowd are broken, so are this team. Anyone not thinking we are down are crazy

Thereisonlyoneno7: That is why we are going down.

    Number1jasper: Going down quite probably

SaintinNZ: I'm sure we are going to get relegated this season

History repeating: I came to terms with this season some time ago. Other games now are purely entertainment, no wishing or hoping.

    Timatoketchup: We are down.

Of course there were a couple who broke the mold as usual:

    TheLiebherrLegacy: Bring on Leicester.

    SaintinSerbia: COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!!!

Dell1964: Why? Have the Premier League called a halt to the season then?

And some who seem to think that this isn’t a matter of life and death!

Black: Worst thing is, my girlfriend is really starting to doubt that my wearing her underwear brings Saints luck.

SaintinSerbia: I'll try that against Leicester (I've always wanted to) desperate times, desperate measures!

Archersroad: Persuade her to wear your y-fronts. That might work.

Ref: does it really matter? Unless it’s Sainty Saint Mc Saint Saint

I’m predicting a win. Leicester aren’t in great shape at the moment. Oh no hang on, my confidence just went in the middle of my post. ****, beaten 3-1. Oh, well, I was really positive at the start, just couldn’t hang on till the last full stop.

Would like to add my comment.

I have been saying for the last few weeks that I would like to see more fight from the players, more passion, be more competitive.

Scrub that, after the last couple of games that makes me more nervous and gives false hope.

3-0 down in 30 minutes for me please

I prefer my quote from 3 times on the Arsenal thread and twice from the Chelsea thread

"It is the hope that kills you".

9-1 Saints after going one down

Banker for you guys Thursday. We have absolutely no idea atm. We haven’t won at home since mid Jan, defence is all over the place and other than Vardy scoring the one chance he gets each game we offer nothing in attack. This game will follow a similar pattern, we’ll gift you the lead, probably two, an Vardy will pull one back late on but it won’t be enough. 3 points for you. As I asked of the prem board earlier, the minute relegation bets can be put on for next season im getting one on for us!!

Confident of a win, not no7 levels of confidence but still reckon we'll get 3 points.

    <cheers> 3-1 Saints <cheers>

But you're 8th in the table?

Surely that automatically means Puel is doing a great job, and deserves a new contract...

I don’t think it’s Puel, it’s our players who don’t give a **** and rule the roost. Sooner we bin off a load of them the better we’ll be. TBH there’s probably not difference in quality between our squad and yours. Difference is I expect you to turn up and show more desire on Thursday and that’s all it takes to leave the king power with minimum a point anyway.

Thanks for quoting me. Fame. I desperately want our club to stay in the league but is it too late? I hope not. Let us get behind the team. That said probably 1-1

Blaming the ref for 3 goals in 8 mins is weird. Thanks for the quote though, I will still carry on going to games even if we are relegated

Vardy will have a party with our defence

Once again in a critical game for us, an inept referee has likely affected the result. It’s not that weird to be extremely pissed off about that. We’d have won at Watford and likely drawn or won yesterday. That’s a 3 or 5 point swing on our season.

“Blame” maybe wrong, but fury isn’t.

There is no doubt we are playing a better brand of football but it seems to be significant that most of our goals are currently coming from our midfield or defence. The odd goal from a striker is a rarity..........That to me is the reason we cannot hold onto a lead plus perhaps our lack of cohesion in defence.
I cant see us getting much out of Leicester but as always heres hoping...............

Our only win in the league since nov is West Brom in Feb. Hughes is undoubtedly better than Pellegrino but hasn’t got us a win yet.

    What’s your opinion of Puel?
