Wednesday we go to inform Leicester, I think they've won about 4 in a row. Looks a tougher game then a month ago but hopefully the lads will be bang up for this with a view to trying to have the title sealed at the weekend. Doesn't look overly positive re Costa and Remy so maybe we'll see Oscar up front again? Apparently he's fine to be in the squad despite that awful challenge at the Emirates. I'm going 1-2 to us.
According to papers Person might rotate his squad. Although I hope Costa might be fit for the bench here.
I think he'd be mad to personally. Why disrupt such a good run? and it's not like we're winning games 3-0 every week. It's entirely possible they could get a point.
They will battle all the way so we need our quality to show through and send them down with the Pikey's and Burnley
I'm going for 1-3 in the hope that that win will set us up nicely to win the Premiership title against Palarse on Sunday. COYB.
Not at all. Rotation is highly likely. He wouldn't want to force 3 matches in a week on his top players especially at this time. So Nigel could very well give a bye for the top dogs in his team. Moreover - they have barcode next at home Lunch time Saturday. That is another 6 pointer and Leicester have very good chance to get all 3pts against horrible Toons. 80 pts seals the deal. If we get 3pts - my last year's predo of winning the title before May will become true albeit a year late!!
We really should have this game in the bag. I can't see Jose being so defensively minded against Leicester, and think we might see a lot more attack. Oscar looked pretty good up front to me, after a run of poor form he looked sharp and up for it. Glad he'll be fit. However........ Drogba cannot do the business anymore and I would prefer a youngster get the sub striker nod if we need one. In the short time he featured, Zouma made one great attacking run, maybe he might start and either JT or Cahill get a rest on the bench? Hope we don't play for the draw, won't be totally surprised if we do.
Courtois Ivan Zouma Terry Azpi Ramires Matic Willian Fabregas Hazard Oscar That's my side with maybe Luis in for Azpi
Agree that, because Leicester have given themselves a real good chance of staying up with recent results, that they will rotate their team here and see this as a game they are unlikely to get anything from, and so will rest some of their first team in this midweek fixture to keep them fresh for the extremely winnable Newcastle game at the weekend (Newcastle have been dreadful lately, how in the hell did we lose to those clowns?).
I'd happily go with that side. To be fair Cahill last few games has been miles above his mid season form and deserves to hold his spot. However if it's just a rest, fair enough, though it could be Zouma and Cahill ,with JTputting the feet up for once. The rest, I think pick themselves.
I wouldn't mind if we did rotate against you guys, for the reasons already mentioned. But, apparently, this will not be the case: http://www.theguardian.com/football/video/2015/apr/28/nigel-pearson-leicester-city-chelsea-video As you have basically won the league, please can you let us have the 3 points? We need it much more than you
I would like Leicester to stay up over Sunderland and of course QPR. So ordinarily i wouldn't mind dropping points here but i have a bet on a 0-2 Chelsea win so.....
Jack - that was a loaded response from Nigel. I still have faith, that he will field lesser side. TBH - if this game is after we had won the league, I wouldn't mind giving 3pts. Regardless you will be safe.
Haven't we got a top quality youngster we can chuck in up front? Our youth teams have just won a load of cups, surely someone amongst the ranks can stick the ball in the net?!
Would be delighted with a draw (I don't think I can make Palace game so I want to see us win league v Dippers)
Would be nice to get clapped off the field by them but I'd kinda like to get it done and dusted so it gives us more banter time
