Judging by the queue outside the Canary shop in Castle Mall today, there is no shortage of fans willing to pay £25 to watch this game. I was in there at 10.30 and there must have been at least 30 people in the queue. Let's have a cup run and stay in the Premier League!!!!
I ordered my season tickets yesterday & was in a phone queue for bloody ages, they also stopped selling to members yesterday as well, so i think demand has been high ?
I'm suprised there was any left judging by the queue at the ticket office on saturday (Bolton game). I didn't actually get a email telling me they were on sale until the following Monday @ 1:30pm, I managed to get through on the phone while I was sitting in my seat and got a couple. Not too sure how I feel about the £25 price tag...but while I can afford it then I suppose I'll pay to watch. Have anyone else been phoned asking you to join the academy lottery draw? Only £2.50 a week, £10.00 a month, I have drawn the line at that, it's another £120.00 a year and thats just too much on top of all the other stuff I already contribute to apart from the tickets. Maybe it's me, £25 to watch a fifth round cup tie, is a ****ing bargain, better than the casual ticket prices for league games.
can anyone explain the kerfuffle about the tickets? it seems leicester weren't allowed their full allocation on 'safety concerns' from the police. i've heard from various people that leicester fell out with norwich over the ticket pricing (norwich wanted tickets at £15, leicester at £30 - obviously trying to get more money out of us for their 50% takings from the gate receipts). not sure if that has anything to do with us only offering a smaller allocation or whether the police thing is true. who knows. its wrong either way - they should get their full allocation
Who knows, all that i will say is that the FA had the final say on the allocation amount so it must be the whole H&S side of things! The way there fans have been slagging our club and fans off on twitter etc, i hope we give them a feckin good pasting
A lot of it is to do with the way the Jarrold was designed, in that the away fans could have 1 or 2 blocks - ie 1200, or 2,400 to keep the segregation at half time etc. I can't believe that there would be any trouble between the 2 sets of fans, but by keeping this segregation, it goes a long way to keeping it that way.
