I don't really think we should be bothered about how much they're costing, if the Thais want to spend it then that's fine by me.

I think Kasper's overrated though. Would prefer Westwood.

... it's a lot of money on an unproven 'jury still out' kinda keeper, think Westwood would be better but he'll be off to the premiership I've no doubt, would love Mr Given to turn up, worth loads of points on his own... and about time we had another GREAT keeper, no offense to Chris Weale but need one who doesn't make horrendous mistakes.... nuff said...

The only thing with Schmiechel is he is young and has potental if he gets anywhere near as good as his dad...then I don't mind!

However based on current performance then IMO its got to be Westwood as the first option.

    In the article
I would take him if he would want to come, even for a small fee even, Forest fans would hate him forever :D

Well im more intrigued with earnshaw. I mean he would be silly not to come to leicester as things stand wouldnt you say?

He is a fantastic striker, but i dont think hes enough. Yakubu and king were our only real threat last season, we need to invest mayve 5-8 million on strikers. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Yakubu looks to have priced himself out of a move and now looks like he is off to Turkey

I advocate my club spending more money but that just seems excessive. The FL need to bring in some rules limiting transfer fees in my opinion.

Do you not think £5-8m is an excessive amount of money for a second division side to be spending?

Do you not think the money in the game of football has become unhealthily inflated?

I'd be saying the same if Leeds had that sort of money, it's a principles argument not a club one. The FL, PL and indeed FIFA need to get tough on profligate spending to mend the game.

If you have the money they why not spend it. As long as it dont become stupid money. We are go to throw money around like theres no tommorow as we have already proved if a player is too over priced then we arent interested

In todays money 5-8M is nothing and most clubs probaly spend that much on wages a season

That mentality is precisely the reason the authorities need to intervene. If you take off the blue-tinted LCFC spectacles for a second and look at the bigger picture, it makes sense, does it not?

£5-8m is nothing in the Premiership these days, it's huge in the Championship. I'm not convinced that the insane wage spending justifies that either, wages should be capped/reduced too as far as I'm concerned.

You're probably right, but since this is the first time we've had any money (and therefore, serious potential in this day and age) I'm not going to complain.

What would you suggest specifically that the Clubs could not find a loophole in?

You have to spend money if you want to compete. Most of our money was spent on wages last season and Waghorn was the only player we really spent money on but most of that money was Blackpools from the sale of DJ Campbell
