Leeds United goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is on his way to Leicester City barring any last minute hitches in the deal. The Foxes have had an undisclosed offer accepted by the Yorkshire club. The 24-year-old Denmark international, son of former Denmark and Manchester United keeper Peter Schmeichel, has been at Elland Road since joining from Notts County in July 2010. He has made 40 appearances for the club. Leeds boss Simon Grayson told the club website: "We feel this is the right deal for the club. "We spoke to Kasper's agent at the end of the season about a contract extension and it was apparent that it was going to be difficult." He added: "Given the fact he has one year remaining on his contract we feel this is in the best interests of Leeds." The former Manchester City youngster worked with Leicester manager Sven Goran-Eriksson during their time at Notts County. The deal will leave Leeds without a senior goalkeeper on their books.
