a terrible accident indeed>>>>>>typical all eyes will be on our game next week with them>>>>>>>one thing we know is the Cardiff fans have always shown respect and the result means very little when it comes 2 tragic events like yesterday>>>>>>>>my thoughts are with the nearest and dearest
My thoughts are with all at LCFC such a tragic accident. Also thoughts with Glen Hoddle, get well soon.
More likely to be the case for their cup match on Tuesday night. Very sad for all those involved with the Leicester City FC
Very sad indeed. It will take any shine off good result we get next weekend, regardless. But, as often said, there are things more important than football.
Very sad news indeed. The Leicester chairman was very well liked by everyone at the club and will no doubt be sadly missed as will the others who perished. RIP.
Glenn Hoddle is out of intensive care and talking to his family as he recovers from a heart attack (Mail)
The more you see the Leicester players reactions and feelings the more likely the game will be rescheduled. I’d have no concern if it was.
Purely from an emotional point of view I wouldn't mind either, but on the selfish side of the coin, I don't want a "game in hand" to play much later in the season that we might start to rely on. We're out of the bottom 3 right now (only just) and we need to stay there. There's no guarantee that we'd get anything from Leicester anyway, but not playing at all could give others a chance to climb. With Newcastle home and Huddersfield playing Fulham, we could be back on the trap door come the following weekend facing Brighton. The Leicester and Brighton home games were a real chance to turn the heat on those around us in the table. I know this sounds selfish, but that's just a footballing take on it and nothing to do with the awful tradegy that's befallen the Leicester City club, players and it's supporters. Whatever their decision, we'll respect it.
Ok, I may be being a bit insensitive here, but why the need to postpone the game? We all know people who pass away, the only difference here is he was a major shareholder and a he died in a horrific accident. If he was close family to myself, I could understand putting things off, but he wasn't. Life goes on and his legacy has been built. A top man business man and a likeable fellow, maybe so, but I didn't know him personally, so any grief I would claim to have would be false.
Can empathise with these thoughts Taff, sure the man himself would want the show to go on, as he was clearly a football fan! The thing is, what mood would a Leicester team be in, would they raise their game, or be low key? I have great admiration for Kasper Smichael though, gutsy man indeed!
Seems to be dragging on a bit, understandably. However, a decision needs to be made soon to be fair to all concerned. I would prefer the game to go ahead from a selfish perspective but there is so much to be considered. If it is called off it would be perfectly acceptable to me taking everything into account. If the game is played it will be a very emotional occasion.
It should not be our decision, we must carry on as if the game is on until we know otherwise. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was more than the owner of Leicester City, he gave millions to local hospitals and charities and also helped many ordinary people down on their luck. A true gentleman.
