Midfielders Matty James and Ben Marshall missed out against Huddersfield during the week and could return to the starting line-up. ** Bristol City are without Marvin Elliott (groin) and Joe Bryan (concussion), so Lewin Nyatanga should keep his place in the side at full-back. Steve Davies scored on his full debut and will start once again. Head - to - Head ** Bristol City did the double over Leicester last season, and have lost only one of the last seven Championship meetings. ** Leicester have lost only two of their last 18 home league games against the Robins, but those defeats have come in the last three. ** The Foxes need two goals to total 50 in home league matches against the west-country club. Leicester City ⢠Second-placed Leicester are chasing five straight league wins for the first time since February 2011. If achieved, it would equal the longest winning streak in the Championship so far this season, accomplished by Brighton. ⢠Three points would also keep the Foxes' 100% home league record intact, after picking up 12 points out of 12 at the King Power Stadium. ⢠Nigel Pearson's club is one of two without a draw in this Championship campaign. Bristol City ⢠Mid-table Bristol City have failed to win five of their last six league matches. ⢠Despite that, Derek McInnes has seen his side score 18 goals; only Blackpool have more in this division (19). ⢠The Robins are the only Championship club not to have gone in trailing at half-time, and have conceded a league-low two goals in the first period..

The Robins travel to the East Midlands on the back of taking only one point from two home games, but McInnes insists there are plenty of reasons to stay positive. Following the 3-2 defeat to Leeds United last weekend, Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Millwall at Ashton Gate was greeted by boos from pockets of home supporters. “We’ve had one defeat in our last four games,” McInnes told Bristol City Player. “Millwall worked very hard for their point and there was a lot more good than bad from our point of view. “We missed a couple of clear-cut chances and on another day we’d expect to score them and ultimately win the game. “Understandably there’s disappointment from not winning either of the home games after picking up two very good results on the road.” City now take on a Leicester team currently on a four-match winning streak and sitting second in the npower Championship, but McInnes is confident his team have enough attacking prowess to worry the Foxes. He added: “Of course it will be a tough game. They are in a good frame of mind with four wins on the bounce, and they have goals in them with very good attacking options. “But we have good options of our own with one or two strikers capable of playing in wide areas, and the option to go with two or three in the middle of the park. That’s the beauty of having a good squad. “We feel even when we’re defending corners we can still break from there and we have real pace in our team. It is part of the modern game and hopefully on Saturday that can be beneficial to us.”

The City manager opted to play Baldock as the only striker in the 1-1 draw against Millwall on Tuesday, with both Albert Adomah and Steven Davies supporting the striker from wide positions. City have five first-team strikers with each one offering something different to the team. Each player must perform to ensure they stay in the manager’s thoughts, according to Baldock. “I had to be a lot stronger on Tuesday as I was on my own. If I have a strike partner they are usually bigger than me so they take the hits,” Baldock told Bristol City Player. “There is a lot of competition for places and each player has their strengths. Everyone has to be on their toes to ensure they get in the starting line-up.” Next up for City is a trip to the East Midlands to face Leicester City tomorrow, (Saturday, 3pm). The Foxes are in good form having won their last four games and Baldock is aware it will be a tough test. The striker added: “Leicester are a good team and will definitely be near the top of the npower Championship at the end of the season. “We’re under no illusion; it will be a tough game. They are a strong side and we will have to be at the top of our game if we want to compete. “The emphasis will be on Leicester to attack but we have a lot of pace in the team. If we absorb the pressure and attack at the right time it could work in our favour. “It’s important to have a good performance before the international break. I always look at the negatives from my last game. I like to see what went wrong and put it right as soon as possible.”
Team Line-Up.... Heaton, Carey, Fontaine, Nyatanga, Foster, Morris, Skuse, Pearson, Adomah, Taylor, Baldock. subs: Gerken, Davies, Stead, Woolford, J.Wilson, Anderson, M.Wilson. Morris is in and Anderson on the bench.......well,well.
"Fontaine brushed aside" says it all really, sorry lads but what do you expect with that line up we were out before we started
"Fontaine's in trouble, Nugent's just run straight past him" GOAL... (Radio Bristol commentary) Message to Channel Islands, NEED EXPERIENCED, RUGGED, CENTRAL DEFENDER(S) NOW...!
Interesting Davies is not starting thought he would get the nod today, fonts is terrible not captain material get him off at half time bring Wilson on alongside Carey give Morris the armband
Would rather we move tanga to left back foster to right back, Wilson on for Fontaine Carey to partner him in if middle, take morris off for Davies and play him on the left side of Taylor with baldock on the right
All the optimism of the first few games seems to have drained away now. We know the squad is stonger and I suspect the players knew that and started off feeling positive and it showed. Letting in easy goals week after week has drained away their confidence as well as ours. We're not seeing the best of them now and it is unlikely to get better until Del finds a way to sort the defence.
Losing at Leicester is no surprise as they have beaten everyone at home so far this season. But we're on a worrying slide towards the relegation zone. I know Del has been unlucky to lose 2 good left-backs but he has spent a lot more money than the likes of Palace who are flying. You have to ask whether he has spent in the right areas. Our defence has been weak for years and we all knew the defence needed serious attention but so far he has failed in that respect.
Only one shot on target and yet another miss-kick by one of our defenders. Any confidence we had has well and truly disappeared.
Full confidence will come back with a win and a clean sheet, where they come from though I don't know, have you seem the fixtures for the rest of this month and next dear god it don't look good
