Watford’s only win in their last ten Premier League games came against Leicester in a 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road last month. The Hornets remain tenth in the table but there is a danger Marco Silva’s side will drop rapidly down the standings unless they rediscover their early season form quickly.

Watford are only six points above the bottom three and on current form have a real struggle on their hands to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.

Their excellent away record seems a long time ago, with their last win coming at Newcastle back in November, after four successive defeats on the road while their problems have not disappeared at home.

Silva’s side were well off the pace last weekend, trailing 2-0 at half-time to struggling Southampton, but did well to recover after the break and claim a 2-2 draw.

However a point against the Saints has certainly not eased their worries and the misfiring team badly need to string a few wins together.

Leicester’s league form has not been great either recently although they were impressive last weekend during their goalless draw at champions Chelsea.

The Foxes, eighth in the table, have been inconsistent lately although there is still an abundance of talent within Claude Puel’s squad including striker Jamie Vardy.

Leicester played midweek against Fleetwood Town in their 2-0 FA Cup replay win but rested a few players and will be a more dangerous proposition at full strength this weekend against Watford.

    One to watch out for.
Riyad Mahrez has been exceptional at times throughout this season and has shown some of the form which helped Leicester to their extraordinary title triumph a couple of years ago.

Mahrez caused Chelsea huge problems in last weekend’s draw at Stamford Bridge and his performances have sparked more speculation over a possible transfer this month. The Algerian has also scored eight goals this season including one against Watford last month.

Lee Probert has been appointed as ref - I suspect some of our players will have to be on their best behaviour.

I see our line up for Sat has been secretly leaked, as Silva is putting the smoke screen out and will finally line up 4-4-2:

    ------------ Emilio Lopez-Vidriero ------------
    --- Fermina --- Kaboul --- Britos --- Cathcart ---
    -- Cleverley - Cheater (c) - Chalobah - Hughes --
    ---------- Success ---------- NJ Signing ----------
    God help us! <laugh>

COYH - Cheers for the thread OFH.

Got to put in a decent shift Sat, just like the second half against robbed Southampton. If not the sinking sand awaits. It's going to be easy to get dragged down there - worth a click, it's a nice take on the table that. I was looking at it and 3 wins and two draws from the final 15 games, that'd do it I reckon - 17th and safe. WM would be proud of us. Oh, how targets have changed.

Get the feeling Deeney will start tomorrow. At least Grey has a couple of goals recently.

Feeling more Pozzotive about the game now.

I personally think Silva won't ever do it from the start mind. I hope I'm wrong.

Two up front please Marco, though I'm not hopeful.... check out my WPL prediction - like I know what I'm talking about regarding our scores <laugh> stadium design and LotG are two things I do know about though :emoticon-0126-nerd:

If you look at Gray's four goals I think the total yardage is barely the equivalent of scoring a penalty! His first goal at Swansea is the furthest he's scored from, shooting just on the 6 yard line! (yes, reverse psychology here - hoping he'll bang on in from 20+ yards!)

  18. Safe journey to everyone going to the match. I just hope they play for 90 minutes as the lack of concentration and intensity for significant parts of crucial games is costing us hugely right now.

Bloody difficult to predict scores this week. Anyone got Doucouré‘s ‘phone number? I could use a hand.

With you on that, A1. Even if he’s fit, he’ll be far from sharp even to make much of a positive impact. (Cue Success hat-trick, please. ;))
