It's also the first meeting at the King Power Stadium between the sides since 1st December 2007 where Southampton were also victors with a 2-1 result - John scored the opener for Saints, Andy King equalised for Leicester before Andrew Surman grabbed all 3 points for Southampton by converting a penalty. Incidently, since the last meeting between the sides, they have both been relegated to League 1 and have been promoted back into the Championship since. I'm getting more confident about Saints, but that doesn't mean I think we will every game (lovely though that would be). We had our backs to the wall against Millwall, but proved we can hang onto a lead even under strong pressure. Leicester will be different. A good side (despite a mixed start) who will give us room to play football...an interesting test. Any result possible, but, as I never go against Saints, I suggest a 2.1 win to us (Connelly, Lallana).
I'm a bit more worried about this one i'm gonna gor for a close game with saints eventually winning 8-2 however i see derby winning 10-2 so it will be back to second place in the league. so close match hard fought win for saints but second in the league come sunday morning.
Regrettably I cannot travel up for this game as I am on a hot date and it would be rude not to quite frankly. Rich will be taking lucky lady for a romantic ride on the 'bus'. I shall discretely be checking the score on my iphone though. 2-1 win to Saints.
This has always been the game that will test us, regardless of Leicester's current form. A big club, with many new players, who are starting to gel. Having said that, if we play like we did in the first 3 league games we should get a result! I predict a score draw.
I have a feeling the marvelous run of wins could be coming to an end in this match - I reckon a draw is on the cards, although i'd be happy with a point anyhow
It's too hard to call but I think if we have room to play then we'll be at our best. Not looking forward to us having an off day
It depends what leicester turns up,if it's the recent one we've seen then i think we'll beat them but if they have got another striker in by saturday and have gelled a bit more then i think it'll be a tight game with hopefully no less than a point for saints.
Winning run will come to an end but the unbeaten run will continue 2-2 De Riddler last minute! looking forward to this game cant wait till saturday !
Is Schmeichel suspended? We have to be careful not to give Nugent an easy chance as he usually takes them, tap ins etc he doesnt miss. Not going to hurt you with pace or skill but knows where to be at the right time. On paper it should be the toughest test yet... going for a 1-1 draw I think!
I'll go for a score draw, we were tired against Millwall and I am glad we don't have a mid-week game and Leicester do, Leicester will be under a lot of pressure at home to score, and if we can take an early lead, can see the crowd getting on their backs. 2-2 for me, you can just see Nugent scoring can't ya...
