Well Nigel Pearson takes his high flying Bristol City to Leicester City where he has legendary status among the Foxes fans.
For Bristol City this has to be the hardest game of the season so far and will certainly show us if we can really compete with the top five /Six teams.
For me Leicester will win the championship -not so sure Preston and Ipswich will retain their places in 2nd and Third spots where they sit at present. Can Bristol City maintain a TOP SIX PLACE it would be a incredible job if Nige and his team could pull it off.
Nige will get a tremendous welcome from the foxes fans-many would love him to go back there as manager.
Bristol City have sold their allocation and will be backed by 3500 fans.
For me any points gained here would be a bonus.
Having said that our away form is promotion form- so let's hope Bristol City can do us proud on Saturday.

Watched quite a bit of their game with Southampton the other night, bloody hell they look more than decent.
Obvious that Southampton are going through a tough time and their manager's on the brink of being sacked but I thought Leicester looked in a different class for the Championship.
The Leicester faithful and travelling City fans will give NP a reception he truly deserves, I wish was there to witness it.

Got beaten by Hull at home beginning of the month, so not invincible.....If we can play 90 mins like we played the first 45 against West Brom & Plymouth, we have a chance....

‘Huge connection’ - What Nigel Pearson said about Leicester City homecoming as Bristol City boss
Nigel Pearson enjoyed two successful spells at Leicester - but will be looking to get one over on his former club this weekend

Nigel Pearson has admitted that he is looking forward to returning to Leicester City on Saturday but says there will be no love lost come kick-off as his Bristol City side look to continue their impressive start to the Championship season.

The manager spent eight years at the Foxes in two separate spells between 2008 and 2016, where Pearson guided the team to promotion to the Championship as League One champions in the 2008/09 season, before taking them to the Premier League as Championship champions in the 2013/14 season
The 60-year-old will return to the King Power Stadium this weekend as his Robins side seek to cause an upset against one of the favourites to be promoted to the topflight this season.
“Leicester have been a big part of my life. I can’t just sit here and talk about it not being an important part of my life,” Pearson admitted. “It’s been a big part of my life and my family’s life, and I’m looking forward to seeing people that I’ve not seen for a while.
Despite enjoying successful spells at the Foxes, Pearson admitted that some of his memories of his time at the club aren’t as positive.

The manager, though, looked back at the time as his first opportunity to build something long-term at a club, which is something he has always made clear he is trying to do at BS3.

“I have some good and some not-so-good (memories) as well. It was the first managerial job I had time to try and shape a squad and a team of staff and create a culture,” he said
“I suppose very much as we are trying to do here now, that was the first place that I was able along with many other people to be a part of building something.”
Pearson isn’t the only member of the Robins set-up who has a significant connection with the Foxes. Midfielder Matty James spent nine years at the club, while veteran Andy King made 379 senior appearances at the King Power. The Robins’ Head of Medical Performance, Dave Rennie, also spent significant time at the Midlands club.

The manager continued: “I have a huge connection but there are four of us going back. I managed there over two spells, Dave Rennie was there for 25 years, Andy King was there for I don’t know how long, a long long time, most of his adult career, and Matty James was there for a few years. All in all, there is a connection which is going to create some interest.”
Though Saturday will provide an emotional occasion for the Robins boss, he was adamant that any sentiment will be forgotten about when the first whistle is blown.

“Of course, you know what I’m like to try and detach from that in terms of the preparation and then of course when the game starts,” Pearson said.

“We still have a job to do, and we go there collectively with the intention of being as good as we can be,” he said. “If we play well and catch them on a day when things aren’t right for them, I think they’ll be aware we can be a very dangerous side.”

Obviously this is a vital match for both Pearson and his new club after he spent several years at Leicester City as manager over 2 different tenures. It is often said that he built the Foxes team that won the Premier League title after his departure following comments made by his son apparently of a serious racial nature. All of that aside he is now our boss and this fixture could be a turning point of some kind in that it could show where we really are in the Championship pecking order. The Plymouth match proved we can score goals but can we do the same against an outfit that from what I have seen have to be considered to be a real contender for promotion this season. I still think there are parts of our game that make me shudder and those are on the defensive side of the equation and between the sticks with Max who consistently makes poor decisions on his distribution that often put his defenders in difficult situations. Teams that are fast down the flanks tend to split our defensive lines with consummate ease which leads to simple mistakes putting pressure on Max to do his business under tenuous situations. A good performance at Leicester is essential in our season not only to prove we can compete, but also for the mental side of our campaign going forward. Let's hope we can look at the table going into the January transfer window and see ourselves in the top eight with the possibility of being there at the end.

I just noticed on the BBC Football site that, according to them, we are in 7th place and below Hull City. Hang on there BBC don't you know that when 2 teams have identical records the positions are decided by alphabetic order and when I last looked B was before H, and that means we should be, and are, 6th in the Championship. If you ever thought the football world was apathetic towards Bristol City, then here's your finite proof. <doh>

We have a good man at the helm, so it's steady as we go, we have a tough one against Leicester I'll be happy with a draw, ecstatic with a win but patience is essential.

I can imagine that atmosphere there will be awesome, with a lot of mutual respect between the two sets of fans.
    Wish I could be there.

I've taken this from OTIB but there are 1 or 2 on here who might recognise the Danny Simpson comment.
Below is pretty much how I feel...... and every City fan I know.

'I've banged my head up against the wall defending Pearson's time here on this forum and to friends who are not City fans. Some have their own agenda against the Man since we signed Danny Simpson and some are fans who just see 'results only' and never look further than the bigger picture.
The club was a shambles on and off the pitch when he took over. If it wasn't for the work of Pearson, his coaching staff, Tinnion and Gould then we wouldn't be a steady ship right now. It is time for the ownership to also get on board with what is going on'.
