........ this is unbelievable! "Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson will NOT be charged by the Football Association over his clash with Crystal Palace's James McArthur." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31359684 He pinned the player down, prevented him from returning to the field of play and made aggressive comments, after the match, about how he could 'look after himself' .......... wasn't Alan Pardew was banned for 7 matches for much the same thing? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
Couldn't believe this when I seen it. Wouldn't be surprised if Mr Pardew is making a polite enquiry to the FA about double standards.
Pardew had previous for pushing officials as well so probably got a harsher punishment. I wonder if Pearson has a reputation as a hard man as McArthur looks positively shook in that picture!
Top 5 headcase managers anyone? Mourinho comes across a bit of a banana at times but i think he knows exactly what he's doing. De Canio? Meant well but .... you know the rest. Warnock gets a bit excitable. Blimey, I'm running out already, where have all the characters gone? Clough was off the wall but great as well. didn't Trevor Francis punch his reserve goalie when he laughed at the side (QPR) letting a goal in? There's people on here with far greater football knowledge than me - views if you're interested?
Roy Keane was apparently a bit of a dick. Ian Holloway is a character, not a headcase though. Struggling myself!
It's sad that I didn't laugh out loud at that and never dismissed the idea straight from my mind. You honestly could not rule it out with them lot
Players fighting each other on the pitch, supporters smashing up their own town & managers nutting the opposition. Only the Mags .......
The FA contacted both parties to clarify what went on, got the information, and made their decision. Perhaps just a case of horseplay/banter between to parties who nearly got together in the Summer on a transfer.
