...Leicester offer 'the non-league Frank Lampard' shot at Premier League move LEICESTER are taking a look at non-league midfielder Brady Hickey. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...league-Frank-Lampard-shot-Premier-League-move
In all seriousness can see us going for Lampard on loan now the MLS season is over as CR signed for Chelsea so they have history there and having a ridiculously experienced player for the crunch part of the season is a good idea. Can see us looking at Ashley Cole as well so Schlupp can stay as a winger.
... the 'next Frank Lampard' is one thing ... the original I really don't think we'll be interested in ... neither Ashley Cole ... Too old and would want too much money for what they would add... Fuchs is better than Ashley Cole now IMHO ... one will be at the Euros, the other merely changing some
Yup - that is why I wrote "in all seriousness" - Lampard would be good for us as Inler doesn't seem to be doing enough to force his way into the team.
... but Lampard would? ... don't get the logic ... the reason that Inler can't get in is because Drinky and Kante have formed a smashing partnership with both playing incredibly well ... not a lack of effort on Inler's part ... which is a very healthy situation in my view ... our team ethos seems to be based about how well you are actually playing .. not who you are... as demonsrated by King, Okazaki, de Laet, Mahrez and Jeff Schlupp (the most recent) getting benched when expected performance level drops ... keeps everyone on their toes Paying Lampard the wages he would demand merely to join the bench makes no economic sense - but might also undermine that 'in form' ethos .. just my view of course ... would much rather see younger hungrier players willing to buy into the 'new Leicester way' coming in during transfer windows ...
