The word legend is very over used in football nowadays which only a few people deserving such a prestigious place in club folklore. Its arguable that Andy King and Jamie Vardy have already secured their place as club legends but would a Premier League title secure the whole of the current team as club legends? I think it would based on the fact whatever we have done in our history, the current lot beat that by someway. Whatever we have achieved in our history it doesn't come close to what we are on the verge of achieveing Granted in our history there might be better players then some of them but they didn't manage to capture the world imagination like were doing now
Yes............. 1884-2015 ... nowt but a League cup or 3 and lesser division titles ... if we should go on to win the title they will be our legendary team (note should - nothing won yet) ... what are the chances of us ever winning it again? ... at least 5000/1
This is the best Leicester side of all time! you just cannot argue against them. The only problem I have is Keith Weller is my all time favorite, and would I have him in this team and were.
Legends for sure. I hope the dream continues & all of them stay put this summer. In my eyes there is no reason to leave, but how many times in football do we see players make bad choices.
Like most I have my own legends like Weller, Shilton Lineker Heskey and The Birch (me with Shilton and Birchenall behind me many years ago) but this entire squad deserves the title purely for their achievement this season.
This has overtaken O'Neils squad as the best one i've seen, not old enough to have seen anything before Steve Walsh around '93 ish. Point of interest, goto google and search for Steve Walsh and spot the error on the wiki part on the right...
Some big names through out the years at LCFC, but for me the MO´N days where superb. Going to Wembley to watch the lge cup final v Tramere Rvs, a 1-0 win v Liverpool, the 3-3 draw v Arsenal & many more. Players like Heskey, Izzet, Lennon, Walsh, Guppy, Grayson, Keller but to name a few. Leicester playing in the prem on it´s own was fantastic, then finishing top 10 & getting into europe. I loved the 90´s. But this what is happening now is.... I can´t put it into words. I´m talking the stadium, the owners, our training ground, our support, our team, champs lge football next season & where we are in the lge with 3 games to go. WOW
