    Kevin Phillips isn't surprised by the impact Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has had on Wearside.

    The striker had a glimpse of O'Neill's managerial magic as the pair crossed paths briefly at Aston Villa before moving to West Brom.

    Phillips, who remains Sunderland's post-War record goalscorer, was at the Stadium of Light for the 2-0 win over Norwich last night as a studio guest for Sky Sports.
