Should Mowbray be bluffing about the left back position & we do bring someone in who would it be?

Kilbane - Available on loan or for a cheap fee. This is a viable option, can do a job till the summer has a wealth of experience & a decent player. If we haven't scouted for a guy who we think will definitely do a job for now & the long term he could be the best option to allow us time to scout around.

Lee Wallace - Good talent, one of the few decent fullbacks around IMO. Likes to get forward but defensively sound. Steady in possesion, capable of short passes & decent crosses. Hearts have little cash to get in new players so may be willing to sacrifice a fullback, however, Romanov is not a fan of Celtic so a fee of up to £2m would be likely.

Mulgrew - Name sound familiar? Let him go a few years back & has turned in to a decent player. Not sure if he has the ability to raise his game to the next level for any future European games. Excellent going forward, deadly at set peices but question marks over his defending, the pale faced Roberto Carlos if you like <ok>

Goncalves - Don't think I've seen him play leftback before but has impressed me at centrehalf whenever I've seen him. We've been linked with him the past week due to his contract running down. Don't think he's the answer at centrehalf or leftback though. Decent free transfer to have in reserve but we've plenty of them already!!

Mattock - Mowbray is a big fan of this guy. More or less tied up the deal to take him to Albion before leaving to become Celtic boss. It was almost an agreement that we sign Fox & they have Mattock. I liked the look of him when he was at Leicester & have heard good reviews about him at West Brom, but I doubt they would sell unless a good £3m+ offer was made.

Ian Harte - Its not a Celtic leftback thread without this guy being mentioned.

If anybody has any other suggestions lets hear them <ok>

Wallace appears to be a favourite amongst many. Not sure he's any better than Fox, would cost the same as what we got for Fox so the deal would make no sense to me based on Mowbrays comments about strengthening elsewhere.

Struggling to find any decent fullbacks available on the cheap or on loan. The likes of Sylvinho are now playing first team football due to injuries, Man utd are crippled with defensive injuries.

Mowbray to go to a back 3, Hinkle/McGinn as wing backs, McGeady to Middle behind Front 2.
