Home Alone. Thats me. Mrs and kids away for about ten days during the school hols here. Quite frankly , Im bored already. On the up side, I got a new stereo recently...and , now that I am in a position to test it out properly I can report the volume goes up past eleven all the way to " loud as **** ". might stick something by The Jam on soon
nothing too special just a sony, its very large though and the sub-woofer is pretty good I think.....wouldnt have been anywhere near my first choice but how it looks in the living room is the most important aspect....so I was informed.
That's wimmin for ye. Form over function every time for them. As long as it looks pretty. Been about 12 years since I bought a hi-fi. Mibby time to get a new one. It still sounds brilliant though. So mibby not.
We have a "hi-fi specialist" where I live, and I swear that one day I'll be in there to spend big... He sells all of those brands that look like a ****ey black box with one dial, but sound belting through the speakers with diamond tipped tweeters and dustbin sized bass cones. All for £5k. Until then, Richer Sounds it is!
I don't see what the whole appeal is in hi-fi's. I have all my music on my computer and only listen to CD's in the car. Guy in my work spent over £15k on a hi-fi, although he gets pissed off if you call it a hi-fi. *Record for number of times hi-fi is used in a post*
Ive got the " proper " one...a variety of diff makes...in another room, reckon ive had it for 15-17 years
Mine was just under £3k (10-12 years ago). CD player and amplifier from Arcam. Speakers from B&W. Still sounds ****in amazing even at very high volume.
I've got BOSE in the house and in the car. Bought a BOSE docking station for the XiFi MP3. Sounds class for a wee thing.
Home alone? Mrs & kids away for 10 days? I suggest you stock up on the kleenex, some lube, decent hardcore pornography and then indulge yourself in a week long turbo-pokey-bum-****fest.
