With the latest on injuries appearing on the website this afternoon, it appears Wilson will be out for a couple of weeks, Evina for quite a bit longer and Wiggins still probably a couple of months from returning.

So lets have a little vote on who should play at LB...

Much as it pains me to say it, I think we need a loanee. Its a specialist position and we have noone in the squad who has all the attributes and can be spared from duty elsewhere. I have no idea whether Fox is ready. He should be considered if the powers that be think he is.

I have no idea whether Fox is ready either, jimbob but he is a specialist at that position and FHB and AllHell give good reorts of him - let's give him a go, and while we're on the subject let's stick Harriott in at the same time.

Jackson needs to play at LB with Kerkar in front of him. That way, they can overlap and help each other out.

    It ain't rocket science.

Personally I shiver at the thought of Jackson playing full-back in this league. His lack of pace and inability to turn will be a massive liability when he's coming up against pacey wingers.

As for Kerkar, I'd rather see him be Left-Back...in the changing rooms.

Ha! You ain't the only one.

I accept the concerns regarding JJ, but surely his experience and nous will offset - to some extent - his lack of pace and agility...?

I said the same thing in another thread. It was when he came forward more he looked worse, especially his crossing. In his defense, there were occasions when he had the ball with 2 or three men on him and he had no-one to pass to so not all his fault. I can promise you 100% that if Harriott was playing LM that would not happen nor would he turn his back on a through ball the way JJ did, no way Pedro.

So far I have only watched the first half on Player. The GF gave me too many jobs to do to watch the second so I will watch that tonight while she is watching her damned soaps. I was particularly looking out for Kerkar and replayed incidents in which he was involved. He did OK. Two minor errors neither of which led to anything. Not that he had much to do. Boro had a stopgap winger and most of the play was on the other side. Plus he won one brave header while the rest of the defence were spectating. Now to watch the second half, but from what I remember from the radio commentary he wasn't at fault for any of the goals.

I don't like loans either but in this case I think we need to get one in fast. Shouldn't be too difficult to find someone solid if unexciting. I presume if the management thought Fox was ready he would have been in against Boro to save moving Kerkar. As for Jackson, he won't find it as easy to hide from the ball at LB as he does in midfield.

I must admit when I saw the team sheet n kerkar at LB thought oh no cp has lost it but by half time thought masterstroke the boy did good second half not so good but blameless for the goals and crossing poor but he seems to of become a bit of a scapegoat and with what's available to pick I'd rather he played there with solly staying RB

Evina's injury is very serious, he's just had a knee operation, and I don't expect we'll see him for a while. Wilson is out for a few weeks as well. The Doctor must be considering Fox, and although I'd go with Fox it's always possible that CP knows a little bit more than I do about what makes a good LB. So if he doesn't play Fox I imagine he's desperately looking at the loan market to get someone in until Wiggins is fit. Who was that guy who takes a good corner?

Would you believe it? He waits all that time, then this...

Shame about Wilson, he put some serious forward movement into the midfield. Wasn't sure about him when he arrived, but he's looking like a more than decent player.

Good news if we can get him, has champ experience and can cover LB/CB if needed, and considering our LBs are out for a number of months he'll be guaranteed games so should suit all parties. Won't be in time for Cardiff though :(
