Happy with this signing. More so than Macheda anyhow. We just need to bolster the midfield with a ball winner and the defence with another CB to replace Caulker who will undoubtedly be leaving at some point. Another left back wouldn't go amiss either!
A centre back to replace Caulker and a DM to replace Medel with a couple wingers / wide men to replace Bellamy (not that he can be replaced, but you know what I mean) and Zaha and we'll be there or there abouts. Would like to see the squad reduced to a manageable number as well. The opposite problem of 3-4 years back. 2 players in every position, a third keeper, a couple utility players and a couple youngsters is more than enough.
And a keeper as Lewis will not be up to be our no 1. Think we're well stocked with full backs but possibly not the quality. Brayford will be like a new signing mind. Have my doubts about Taylor but John will only have got better with a PL season under his belt, plus Fabio & KTC may thrive in this league(if KTC stays?). McNaughton and Connelly as cover, even though I think he'll ship Connelly out.
I think our FB's are plenty good enough for the Championship. I will be very disappointed if we start the season with Lewis as number 1.
