It's that time of the season again. I'm predicting 3-0 to Cardiff after our recent lack of confidence and their general bogey team status.

It's bound to be a shocking atmosphere with it being moved forward to 13:15 on a Sunday, Cardiff fans boycotting and no doubt thousands of Leeds fans staying away from paying 30 odd quid with it being on the telly, and with the animosity towards Bates continuing.

We usually do well when we're televized but I can't see the players being motivated and energetic at all. That said, I'd still field an unchanged team and maybe bring Becchio and Sam on if we're looking tame again up front.

Since the first game of the season, Cardiff's away form has been poor and our home form's been decent. But then again, another relevant fact is that we've not beaten our Welsh friends since 1986.

Not much hope for this one from me. Roll on the misery.

I predicted we'd beat Peterborough 3-2 & that we'd lose narrowly to Birmingham. I'm going for a 4-1 Leeds demolition of Cardiff. I think we'll be up & at them from the off,a couple for McCormack & one each for Keough & Clayton. I'd also keep the same team, like to see Nunez involved at some point though, maybe the last 20 minutes, think he'll be eager to impress.

You never know I thought in the 50's when we got beat 2-1 in the cup 3 round 3 years on the trot that we must win some time, and so it proved years later we were drawn in the 4 round at Cardiff away I went to the game and we won 2-0 I believe to break the hoodoo. You have on record that I think that on Sunday we will break the curse again so watch this space Leeds18 don't despair I don't!

Tough one to call. The way we have been playing we should smash them at ER. But there are some other factors to consider. We never beat them & the intimidation factor will probably be at an all time low due to the combination of an early kick off, Sky, ticket prices & the Bates factor.

Apparently attendances are down 15% for what’s its worth.

Mc Cormack might fancy putting a couple past his old team on Sunday

One season 08/09 he was scoring for fun for them and then went off the boil and had injury problems and apparent loss of confidence.

So, here's hoping for a bit of a show from him on Sunday.

I can't see us having a clean sheet so I am going for a 2-1 win.

I doubt whether last season's performances will have any bearing on this Sunday. Apart from Marshall in goal, defenders Hudson and MacNugget, and Whitts in the middle, we have a new team put together by Malky Mackay.

Our midfield has a new confidence this year, and upfront we will be a completely different proposition. As said previously, we no longer have the 3 Bs in Bellamy, Bothroyd and Burke, but don't discount the 2 Ms up front - Miller and young Mason.

If Miller is available Sunday after getting 20 stitches stuck in his head after colliding with our our own man-mountain Ben Turner last week, he could be key, and 20 year old Mason is looking a bargain buy from Plymouth at £250K. He's just started to score and his confidence is on the up.

I'd like to say a good game in prospect but I think it could turn out to be a dour affair capable of going either way.

Here's to a good game anyway, and if we get the 3 points, we'll have done very well.

mccormack will score, no doubt about that <laugh>

no chance of us thrashing you again though i'm afraid, as leeds60 says we've lost the players who did that and replaced them with good players, but not in the calibre of the ones who left. we caused barnsley problems last week and created so many chances we could have got much more than 5, but 2 lucky deflected goals gave the scoreline a misleading look of equality when it was far from that. mason is one to watch for you because his movement was really good and he's now got 2 in 2 including the burnley carling cup win mid week.

we'll be 4-5-1 i expect because we've lost most of our strikers to injury, so the game will be tight.

Very much matches my own opinion and expectations.

We have kept the ball very in the last couple of matches and it'll be interesting if we can manage that away from the CCS, if we can there may be something in the match for us.

I'm going for McCormack to score in a 2 - 2 draw, but no great shock if it ends up a narrow win either way <ok>

I think what is killing us is the 5 subs rule. We're persisting with MV, when there's 4 people on the pitch who can play CM already (Howson, clayton, Pugh, McCormack (see vs palace)) We need more variety on the bench.

    Cairns, Bromby, Nunez, Sam, Becchio

Agree with GkofGTM. For me a bench has to have players who can change a game. Varnyen isn't an impact player from what I've seen. Nunez, Sam and Becchio are the best options.

Can't wait till Somma comes back to take up his rightful place on the bench.
