Another ugly win against Norwich, but we snatched the 3 points. First half was a bit scrappy from both teams, neither team seemed to be playing good attacking and attractive football, although possession wise I think Norwich had the better of the first half, but not by a long shot. Throughout the match we had too many passes, short and long, either going astray or going to a Norwich player, something TC needs to address with the players, giving away possession puts more pressure back on Leeds, especially close to our defence, and confidence in Weidwald still hasn't risen yet. Looked on cards to be honours even at halftime, untill the 41st minute when Jansson popped in a header from a Cibicki cross, or, a goal from a set piece. Norwich did come close to an equaliser but a good one handed save from Weidwald made sure it stayed 1-0 just before halftime, however, the save was parried back into play and luckily the Norwich player hoofed it over the bar. Interesting that during his interview with Whelan and Co, he said it was a good cross from Pablo, Jansson went on to give high praise to Pablo for his skills, capabilities and overall contributions to our games. Looked to me like it was going to be another game of 2 halves for Leeds, we came out a little better than first half but still the passing was below par and shots at goal weren't the best. Vieira, as far as his passing game goes was well below par, he was making mistakes every where, luckily, none of them cost us. Norwich wanted the equaliser and you could see that as they began pressuring our defence and goal, any other day they may well have scored but seemed like some of their players forget their shooting boots, the crowd behind Leeds goal seemed to have more possession than Weidwald did. Weidwald made a good one handed save to deny Norwich an equaliser. Saiz was gifted an opportunity with a one on one situation with the Norwich keeper, again, on any other day Saiz would've put it away for a goal, this instance, the keeper was beaten but Saiz was denied by the goal post. Stats show that Norwich had the better of possession overall, they were for most part bossing the midfield, they building their assault on our goal from the midfield, I don't care what anyone says, we have a problem in midfield during most of our matches since our good start to season come to an end, if it's not fixed it may well become our downfall. I still don't understand TC's subbing, Grot for Saiz made no sense whatsoever, neither did Pennington for Cibicki, obviously TC was looking to shut up shop, but that doesn't justify bringing Grot on who's a striker. I can understand Pablo for Roofe, it wasn't Roofes day, but with Pablo on we could see the difference he brought for the last 25 minutes or so. When Pablo's not playing, we miss him down left. TC keeps saying he's happy with our performances, if he's happy then we ain't going no where. You can see by the questions from the journalists they're touching on important situations and problems, but TC stands fast on his views regarding our performance, and Weidwald, TC claims Weidwald is one of the best keepers in Championship........really TC? Scrappy game throughout, but we won ugly and got the 3 points, it ain't going to happen to often, so TC needs to address these so called performances he's happy with. Enjoy.
