Potter won't be coming down to the championship. Or in the unlikely event he does it will be a parachute side. If we do part with Rosey then it will be another of the same mould. That's the model the ownership is wanting to follow. Young, possession based with a development brief.
I did say Delap MAY have been injured when sharp came in, which suggests I was unsure. As for a permanent future here, well he is only on loan with us and if he shows any great promise his team Man City may consider keeping him or we would be outbid by another club.
I think delap probably comes back on loan. His injury has really made that happen. Otherwise it may have been lower prem league.
Until the league finance changes it's the most significant limiting factor we face. And the PL is fast becoming a cartel.
It speaks volumes that Leeds last night fielded a single player who cost them more than Acun has been able to spend in entirety since he took over. And it's not the only example of what we're up against.
Really agree with this. Have said before that we seem to be obsessed with scoring at the end of field length passing moves, and they don't happen too often. Our set pieces are awful generally, we rarely get enough players in the box for the close range tap in (since Connolly was injured) as Sky pointed out last night, and for a manager who says he likes to play two wingers, the number of really dangerous crosses into the box is very low.
I was listening to a debate between lineker and shearer the other day and they said they preferred space to move in the box as opposed to a packed area. It does seem to be a school of thought that too many in the area can be detrimental. Obviously there's a balance to be struck though.
Yes but they haven’t seen us play 25 times this season , those that have had a fair idea we’d lose the game .
I’m pretty sure there’s not a single Leeds fan that’s has watched us 25 times this season. They probably haven’t even watched their own team that many times. The moaning on here is ridiculous.
& even if a quality cross does come in there's no one to bas***d head it in as the only striker we have who is actually good in the air is on a season long loan at Esporte Clube Bahia!!!!!!
Take your point. Can I just say that if we had a Lineker or Shearer like figure in the box, that would do for me! I thought the point Sky made last night that we don't have anyone with real striker's instincts, to somehow be alert to a ball fired in at pace, was a good one. With the honourable exception of Carvalho on the goal.
Exactly but the Hull fans who have watched us 25 plus times this year like myself probably had a fair idea how it would finish and it did ! It’s okay a few Leeds fans saying we were good or a few Leicester fans etc but only those who watch week in week out no how toothless we are !! #believeintheprocess.
Sky pointed out we didn't have dedicated forwards (on the pitch) who would have (perhaps) the instinct to make 'the run' to score a goal, I would like to have seen (Connor or Ohio) last night for at least the last 20 minutes, to take pressure off a tiring team, press L**ds back / different outlet for them to mark, also brought Mac on for the last 10-20 as players were tiring If the decision is to keep with Rosenior - he needs a forward coach who he listens to and will use... Billy the Sharp?
