Today McD will learn a lot more about his players. Following the blips, a better result against Stevenage raised spirits once more, but now it is time to kick on and keep improving. New signings need to step up and show why they've been added to the squad, Varney needs to show he can be a consistent performer. I know it's only a friendly, but we need to see more from our players as we head into the new season. Early points are so important, as it means you're not chasing them in the run in. Anyone with a link to the game please post it here, thanks.
I reckon the line-up will look incredibly similar to what we will see against Brighton, even if we did make new signings it'd be hard just to put em straight in so this could be the team to start the season. I think we will also be playing this alot more seriously than the other pre-season games with full intention on winning rather than trying new things and gaining fitness. Thats what the last game tends to be so it shall be interesting.
I'll be on LUTV too, though am at work so probably no sound. As I posted on the "morning" thread, "I have a horrible feeling about our defence, which has not looked secure to me even against the lower level teams we have been playing, and I wonder if we will have any punch up front against a better quality defence. Lets hope the fact we usually play better against better opposition comes into play, but I am apprehensive our failings are going to be exposed today. Hope I am wrong". I think BM will be taking this one seriously, we may find out a lot about the squad today (lets hope its not more than we want to know )
The starting lineup: Kenny, Peltier, Lees, Pearce, Warnock, Green, Murphy, McCormack, Varney, White, Poleon

0-1 Nurnberg, and even despite the protests it looked well over the line from a slightly dodgy camera angle on LUTV
