BRR; Does not seem too bad compared with what I've seen on BBC TV from the West Country. Have a good afternoon tomorrow and give the lads a cheer from all of us who can't be there. All I expect is that the team scrap and fight more than of late. Any point(s) will be a miracle.
I really do wonder if the attitude of the football authorities in England is somewhat out-dated in that every effort is made to play matches when such bad weather occurs in a large area of the country. While everyone is told to stay at home unless your journey is ESSENTIAL, clubs must do everything to get the game going. To hell with supporters travelling along dangerous roads, using railways that are overfull because road transport is much reduced and so many flights cancelled. And when the game goes ahead because the referee considers the pitch is playable, how many fans are there? Leicester's attendance of 8,500 last night says it all. How many of their season ticket holders were unable to go? Will they get a refund from their club? Unlikely! All this weekends matches should have been postponed because it is not only about a patch of grass being fit for play. It's about the safety of many thousands of people who would be better off staying in their own home. Football is not a matter of life and death!
I'm not confident on this one chaps I'm afraid. I think if the game goes ahead we'll lose 2-0. They have Becchio back and we have a terrible record against them. This is too early for SOD IMO and I was hoping it got postponed to give him more time to prepare. Incidentally my mums family were all from Leeds but all moved to Bristol in around 1930. Apparently they used to run a large hotel there called the Cumberland. It no longer exists sad I can't find it on the Internet but it definitely did - we have the crockery and cutlery to prove it!!
