This was a must win game, to keep us challenging, but also to boost confidence and moral, which seemed low. The performance was 10 times better than it was against Brentford, the passing was back, those one touch passes were back and the enthusiasm was back, sadly, the shooting and scoring wasn't. Looked to me like the lads decided to play their own game by going at BC from the off. Second half we dropped off a bit, not as threatening as in first half, weather could have had something to do with it but, players are told to keep the ball on ground when playing in windy weather. Ayling had a very good game and was rewarded with the only goal of game, even though we should've, by rights had 2 or 3, even 4 goals. MOM for me, other teams will take advantage of him pushing up all time, it's where they counter against us. Looking at the goals we didn't, but should've scored, Bamford, open goal but shoots straight at keeper, typical Bamford. Harrison hits bar, should've looked up and picked his spot. Phillips was back to his best. He controlled the midfield effortlessly. Costa, beat the keeper then began to slow down as he got close to ball, keeper beat him then. Those are our 3 main strikers who just don't know how to score goals, it's the same pattern virtually every game, and people say the same thing after every game, including this one "we have to make our chances count" "we need to score goals" truth is, our strikers aren't doing their jobs. Back in first half of season Alioski, Klich and Pablo were scoring goals. Since Bielsa changed the forward line those 3 players ain't scoring and, the 3 replacements ain't scoring either........but Bielsa refuses to see that......Bielsa has a lot to answer for if we don't get promoted. We can play all the good football we like every game, if we ain't scoring goals, it's going to be a very bumpy ride to end of season. Klich had another good game, Pablo's getting back to his best, Ayling played a good game, White had a game, and he was pushing forward a few times making the BC defence back pedal. Cooper had a good game, Dallas did good, didn't think he was at his best though. Dallas also needs to watch pushing up too far, getting caught down the wings on counter is becoming a bit of a habit. Pirlo didn't have a good game, he was hardly in it and doesn't feature much in highlights either, which tells a story. I lost count of the number of sideways and backwards passes after 30. The fact no one was cumming in their trousers shouting Pirlo had a great game tells the story. Respectfully Emu, Pirlo didn't deserve a 9, 5 or 6, he just wasn't in game that much. All our defenders played a much better game than Pirlo.....................Let the flack begin. Harrison, still greedy, will never learn and it'll be awhile before he scores. Costa, still doing what Harrison does and it amounts to nothing for both of'em, every game. Bamford, nearly Bamford is nearly Bamford and nearly Bamford does what nearly Bamford does best, nearly score. I think Dorigo said Costa, Harrison and Bamford were a threat, the only things threatened are the fans sitting in back row. There's no point being a threat, a threat doesn't score goals. You can threaten every game, but if you ain't scoring you aint a threat, a good striker scores goals, and we ain't got one on field, but all 3 will be picked yet again for Reading. Our 4 biggest problems are our strikers who can't strike a match between'em, but Bielsa keeps picking';em. Take FI, Nascar racing for instance. The mechanics don't leave faulty misfiring spark plugs or leads on the car, they don't say "put cyl 1 spark plug in cyl 4 and cyl 4 spark plug in cyl 1 that'll fix problem, it just don't happen, except with Bielsa. Mechanics do not rearrange deckchairs on Titanic. From somewhere we have to find our scoring boots, or players that can score with boots, and their heads, last 2 goals have been from defenders. It's going to be a bumpy ride for the run in, goals win matches. Great game, great football, but we also need a winning run. Enjoy. Short highlights Bielsa post match interview Johnson post match interview Ayling post match interview Cooper post match interview wainmanjoe post match......cumming in his pants, lol. New kid post match analysis......haven't seen him before, he sounds a bit nervous but he's giving a good go. Bonus Kiko save to Alioski's goal in 17 seconds. Bonus......Fulham v Barnsley. Bonus bonus.
I thought it stood out like a beacon how important Phillips was to the team. Not saying that to be confrontational, I genuinely saw it all throughout the game.
Have to comment on that last clip. I know I’m an old fart but what has the music industry descended into. Simon Cowell responsible one way or another for most of that muck masquerading as music. Talentless individuals making a fortune from the gullible
You might not be able to hear the Pirlo song from your living room, but it was echoing around the ground yesterday at the final whistle and probably for miles around, it was that loud.
