A win for Leeds will keep them in the chasing pack whilst a win for Norwich could propel them into the top half of the table. It seems Leeds will be without Ekuban for a while leaving the Leeds gaffer with a selection dilemma. If Lasogga is not fit, do we give Grot a baptism of fire or stick with Cibicki to partner hat trick hero Roofe? The rest of the team picks itself. The Canaries had their first win since 22nd October last week when they came from behind to beat the Wendies 3-1. Have they found a bit of form?
I was listening to a J League specialist on a postcast. He was saying that if Ideguchi was English, he could have a 15m price tag. As it is he should have a 3, 4 or 5m price tag
Morning all.. If Lasogga is unfit and our only two are Roofe and Grot, I’d still leave Grot out and put an extra midfield player on the bench, Saiz or Alioski can then be used as an emergency striker if needs must.
I’m assuming he has to actually play a certain amount of games during the loan spell to gain his permit?
Morning all. So according to that specialist all English players are overvalued. We all know that big time
Morning All, well evening really and it was a really great day today, warm sunny and just slight breeze. Anyway - the team I would like to see is Grot and Roofe up front for the start. I know ! but lets try something different and then if needed revert to the QPR beating team.
I think team selection and bench will be revealing this weekend. Some calling for Cibicki to stay on the wing with Roofe up top, and nothing wrong with that as they both earned the chance. Lassoga should be fit so will either start or be on the bench to take over if Roofe fails, or evn to come on into a 2 up top if we are chasing the game. Hernandez if fit should be ahead of Cibicki, but if thats the case we need to make sure Cobicki isnt frozen out as he looks good. Dallas? Sacko? Klich who seems to be on his way to the German top tier Budesliege next month? Grot? Anita? CBJ? Nessie? Pennington?
I’ve put Leeds by 1 but I’m not confident Home games can expose weaknesses and we don’t have a striker I know can deliver against better defences Fingers crossed I’m wrong and TC makes the right choices Anyone know if Hernandez will be fit, I think we need him for this one?
Good Morning to Matt and his boys from a slightly warmer Bardsey I would keep the team that finished at QPR so Cibriki on the right Alioski on the left Rumour has it we are after Cardiff City left back who is presently on loan to Rangers Never seen him play so no comment but I must say it sounds like we are making the same mistakes buying cheap giving fodder too our critics again
Interesting all those suggesting two up front. We haven't done that all season, so can't see it suddenly happening at a time we have a striker shortage. It'll be roofe up front, maybe lasogga if he's fit/interested. If Roofe is up front, Hernandez will join Saiz and Alioski as the supporting 3. If Pablo isn't back Cibicki might get a run out, with Alioski moving left. If he plays lasogga, and pablo isn't back he'll probably play roofe instead of pablo despite continuing evidence he can't play as a winger. That's how we play, that's what he'll do!
re ideguchi. Is he any good?? Could he adapt to the physicality, pace of this league?? What he can do, is strike a football... watched the obligatory highlights reel and he's a clean hitter of a football... including one with his left. Of course Saiz scored a nice goal with his left at the start of the season and not sure he's touched the ball with it again since
Reports yesterday introduced by Phil Haye from the top TV presenter for the J League (A Brit) he says our new player is the only Japanese player with a mean streak. He's more European than Japanese in the way he dominates midfield and gets a tackle in. Commanding like a good defensive midfielder but also incisive passing to create going forward? If thats true its actually what we are missing now
No, Japan have to be placed in Fifas top 50 team rankings and he has to have played in 75% of their games in the last couple of years. It is still touch and go he would get a permit for next season.
Well, here's hoping Japan win the World Cup & he plays in every game. Double whammy - they get into top 50, & his %age goes up (although I don't know what it is atm - anyone any idea?). A man can dream .....
