It can be done but we need that win to set us up for spurs. We just know harry frickin kane will score a penalty against us. Just the one win to get the lads going.
I noticed Ayling didn't do the Robbie Keane celebration whilst Robbie was on the touchline, or did I miss that ?
Got to be honest Doc, I watched that whole game tonight and, Drameh is not better than Ayling or Kristianson today, Gelhardt is not the second coming, Huggins didn’t have long enough to show, Clarke was head and shoulders above the rest of the alumni, Patrick Roberts would have been so much of a better signing than Poveda from City.
I've watched alot of Joffy at Sunderland and he's been shocking every game. I know he's playing as a lone striker and apparently that's not his game but he's not shown that he'd be giving us anything extra if he was still here. As you say, Jack Clarke has been outstanding for Sunderland all season.
Great to see Clarke returning to form. Remember him coming on against villa maybe four years ago for last twenty minutes and tearing them apart. Career plummeted soon after. A mystery
Talking of ex players I'm sat here watching Matt Smith play up front for Salford in the League 2 play offs. He's better than Bamford even now.
Didn’t he get ill? A seizure or something like that on the bench. Whatever it was knocked him back years
Seems to have gotten over it now. He was young and everything had gone right for him. Seems to have set him back but he has fought and got there.
Very harsh IMO, but the point I was trying to make was before VAR it wouldn't have been given. VAR is just another way of sterilising the game.
Expect the game to be shortly divided into four quarters to allow for more advertising revenue and rest time for the tired players
