    Leeds Utd v Millwall

    Wednesday 12th March@19:45 | Elland Road

Leeds United return to Elland Road this Wednesday evening with a burning desire to get back to winning ways and erase the memory of a weekend setback against Portsmouth.

However, standing in their path are familiar foes from Bermondsey, Millwall, who arrive in Yorkshire with a swagger having already tasted victory over the Whites twice this season.

Daniel Farke faces a selection puzzle, haunted by a 1-0 league defeat at the Den and a subsequent FA Cup exit last month at the hands of the Lions. Revenge, and crucial Championship points, are firmly on the menu.

There's a distinct parallel between Millwall and Portsmouth – both embody a physical, direct style of football. Expect a battle of attrition, peppered with long balls and an unwavering commitment to exploiting every set-piece opportunity. Defending crosses into the box will be paramount for Leeds, as Millwall will undoubtedly launch aerial assaults at every chance.

Despite the recent FA Cup disappointment, Elland Road remains a fortress for Leeds in league competition. Their unbeaten home run stretches to an impressive 15 Championship matches, boasting 13 victories and a remarkable 40 goals scored in front of their passionate support.

While history favours the Whites on home turf, Alex Neil's Millwall will be no pushovers. Buoyed by a vital 2-1 comeback win against Watford at the weekend, they will travel north filled with confidence and a renewed sense of momentum.

That victory was crucial for Millwall, snapping a spell of criticism and a home loss to Bristol City. Before this minor blip, they had been quietly building form, losing just once in their previous nine outings. Though their playoff aspirations remain a long shot, the opportunity to inflict another dent in Leeds' promotion bid will be a significant motivator.

Adding to Farke's selection considerations are ongoing injury concerns. Ethan Ampadu, Maximilian Wober, and Patrick Bamford remain sidelined, potentially forcing further changes. Interestingly, the Leeds lineup is anticipated to be markedly different from the FA Cup defeat to Millwall, with only Pascal Struijk expected to retain his starting place.

Millwall also have their own personnel issues. Suspended goalkeeper Liam Roberts will be absent, alongside a lengthy injury list including Zak Lovelace, Duncan Watmore, Ryan Leonard, Calum Scanlon, Camiel Neghli, and Macaulay Langstaff.

Would be great to get back to winning ways. Our fans need to play their part though, none of this sing when you’re winning or have won nonsense

From a Millwall perspective tomorrow nights game is a free hit, if we win or draw great!! but if we lose we dust ourselves down and go again on Saturday.
Although we are out of the play-off picture our remaining games will have a baring on the final promotion placings as we also have to play Sunderland, Sheffield United and Burnley away all of which will be big tests for us as we build for next season.
We will play with confidence and a swagger as the treble is in sight whilst it could be a nervy night for Leeds if they don't take control early on.<cheers>

much as it grieves me to say it, i think that's a fair assesment. The longer the wall wall holds out, the nervier it gets. So hopefully we'll be 3 up after 10 minutes and we can spend the rest of the time goading the 7 fans who made the trip from deepest Bermondsey

The obsession you have with fan numbers doesn't effect the head to heads between Leeds and Millwall, Leeds 19-20 Millwall and 5 draws.

I was going to go for 6-0 but felt that was ever so slightly optimistic
